In reply to: [Theme My Login] Testing on Theme My Login – Version 6.2-beta1Hi Jeff, I was revisiting your plugin and saw this thread. Can you point me to the v6.2-beta1 download?
Can’t seem to find it here or on your site…
p.s. Glad to see your still developing this:)
Perfect, thanks so much! I only made it as far as “pre-algebra”;)
Thank you. This works to remove the list type styles, but the group of thumbnails is now aligned left in the Widget instead of centered as before.
I tried adding text-align: center but that had no effect.
Looking good…
After initial activation, there was no admin message until I saved the SOPA settings…makes sense and looks AWESOME.
No problems so far, great work sir!
p.s. Does this get activated at midnight based on the time zone set in my WP admin?
Downloading and installing now…
Curtiss, you are a true gentleman:)
Great, thanks for considering it.
As a little further info, I was thinking a notification along the lines of what the Maintenance Mode plugin does when activated.
Additionally, the “getting on the nerves” part may offer a “Dismiss this notification” the way that WPMUDEV plugins have it when they insert a notification.
Again, thanks for considering it, and if you need feedback on any other plugins, I’m happy to offer my two cents;) Feel free to contact me anytime through my site’s contact page.

My issue with DLM is fixed…
I don’t really know exactly what happened. What I do know is that for some reason my DLM htaccess rules were removed from my htaccess file somehow during the process of…
1. Upgrading WP to 3.3 (unlikely)
2. Resaving the Permalinks
3. Resaving the DLM custom URLs (after they disappeared)This has been very strange and I wish I could better track down the actual cause in order to help others here (and the plugin dev and WP peeps).
Further details in my troubleshooting…
I’m wondering if the new Permalink changes in WordPress could be affecting things. Here’s why I’m wondering…
In Otto’s explanation of changes he mentions that using /postname/ in a custom Permalink structure is no longer needed and instead the Postname permalink structure added in 3.3 should be used.
On the site I have with DLM managing my downloads, I have a custom permalink structure of /%post_id%/%postname%/
In the following comment, someone asks if the /%post_id%/ part is needed any longer. Otto’s answer is no.
So, I’m left wondering (theorizing) that because I still have this custom structure activated, and specifically the /%postname%/ part…could that somehow be affecting the DML plugin’s ability to correctly save the configuration changes I am making.
Additional question: If I change the custom structure to the new Postname structure that WP provides to see if this solves the issue with the DLM problem…what happens to all the URLs I have indexed that are using the /%post_id%/ portion?
Will I need to setup some kind of 301 redirect for all of these?
First things first though…I desperately need to figure out how to fix the DLM plugin to accept my custom URL changes.
Further Troubles…
The next thing I did was go into the DLM configuration for custom download URL as I had it set as “/downloads/filename/” and simply resaved that without making any changes.
I checked my .htaccess and the code that was previously there is now gone. Huh?
So then I went back to the DLM custom URL screen and now the custom url of “downloads” is missing, as well as the selection of “filename”.
I have gone through the custom URL saving process several times and the changes no longer hold.
Can you PLEASE take a look at this WP thread and offer some troubleshooting steps?
I have just experienced the same issue after being alerted by several users that my downloads are no longer working.
All you get is a “Headers Sent” message on a white screen.
WordPress 3.3.1 and DLM Version 3.3.5.4
Any help on what could be the issue would be greatly appreciated:)

In reply to: Core Dev Team Meetup Q&ARelated to previous commentator’s search question…
1. Are there any plans to give attention to enhanced search in Multisite? (options in each site on the network to search “entire network” or “search these specific sites on the network”)
2. Is it possible to include the ability to customize the user and site registration process in core? (there are many plugins out there that have attempted this and it seems that many have been abandoned or lack tight integration with core features)
3. Are there any plans for hooks/filters for Widget Titles?
Agreed

In reply to: [Featured Image Column] [Plugin: Featured Image Column] filter for post typesThe power of community:) I just learned of your plugin and I’m agreed…GREAT idea!
@dirk.S,
You’re right, this is a solution but involves too much manual intervention with more than a few CPTs.
After posting my solution I was notified of a couple of others that would work better for many CPTs…
1. A function that specifically adds them:
https://www.getupandrunning.net/2010/06/adding-custom-content-types-to-the-sitemap/2. Using Joost’s SEO plugin for WP which has this feature built-in:
https://yoast.com/wordpress/seo/#xml-sitemapThere is another plugin somewhere that hooks into the XML-Sitemap Generator plugin too, but I can’t seem to find it at the moment.
There is always more than one solution;)
