    I tried rolling back to 1.9.4 but that triggers the same error, so I have now rolled back to 1.9.3 which works, so it is something to do with the code changes in the soccer-info-widgets.class.php file. As no one else has highlighted this error it could be something to do with my site set up, so any help to resolve this would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you for the tip, but it was working before with Cloudflare turned on.However I have had a look at the Cloudflare settings and help, and this page – https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169456-Why-is-JavaScript-or-jQuery-not-working-on-my-site- says to turn Rocket Loader off, which I have done. This has fixed the problem, in case anyone else is having the same issue.

    Hi Bob,
    I know this is someone else’s support thread, but I am seeing a similar error message in my error logs, and I am not using Percona, as follows;

    My problem cleared up by itself, so I am guessing it was probably the server playing up at my host. It may still be worth you checking your plugins though by deactivating them and seeing if Shashin works properly, then activating them one by one to see which one might be causing the issue.

    As an addendum to this, I have just tried it on another site hosted by a different host and that has no problem, so I suspect that this is either a plugin conflict or a host issue for that particular site. Would still appreciate any ideas though.

    OK thanks for that but I am not using the link, I am using the widget with autofire and i am not sure where I should be putting the code as i will have several instances of this with different times on different pages/posts which I am controlling with Widget Logic. Would I put all the lines of code generated by Poppop for these instances plus your extra bit above, and where would i put it? Also will your extra code prevent keyboard presses closing it as well? Wil it still autofire using the code?

    Hi,
    This plugin is very handy for what I am trying to do, but I have a couple of ideas and queries. Basically I am using it in conjunction with the Shortcode Redirect and Widget Logic plugins so that the message pops up on certain pages/posts at certain times and then redirects to the home page after a set number of seconds.

    However I do not want customers to be able to click outside the box and close the message (or click the ‘X’ but I have already hidden that using CSS) because there is time for them to carry out an action on the page that I don’t want them to do at certain times (it is a restaurant delivery service for multiple restaurants all with different kitchen opening times so i need to ensure that customers can’t place an order when the kitchen is closed).

    Is it possible to add the option to either show/hide the close ‘X’ and more importantly an option to prevent either a click outside the box or a keyboard stroke (e.g. the ESC key) closing it? If not can you tell me the jquery edit I will need to make?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your answer. I think the problem is because I am on shared hosting, and as far as I know I cannot upgrade the MySQL and have to wait for JustHost to do it. I’m not even sure that is the reason it wouldn’t allow me to install given the message i got, so i think that possibly I do not have the permissions to carry out the installation. I would think that there will be quite a lot of other potential ‘customers’ for your plugin that will be in the same boat, although i am a little surprised that JustHost does not have a more up to date version of MySQL.

    I am now trying out another plugin to achieve the same thing in a slightly different way, and easier too, but I don’t know yet if it will work as I wish. Thank you for your efforts anyway and if my host ever updates MySQL I will take another look.

    Any idea when this bug will be fixed? It is getting kind of annoying! Or is there anything that can be altered in the code to fix it until the official fix is ready?

    Hi and thanks for addressing this. Whatever you did seems to have done the trick as far as the Top Bar plugin goes, but I am finding it a little difficult to see whether the plugin is working properly otherwise, as even though I have activated my location in the settings and cleared my cookies, I don’t see the message appear. When I check the statistics it is telling me that people from various locations, including mine, have seen the alert etc but I would like to be able to see it myself. Can you suggest any reason why it is not showing for me? Alternatively is there any way a preview can be displayed for people who are not in a location where the cookie law is in force?
    Many thanks.

    My site is at https://www.awolonline.net but I have your plugin deactivated currently as I need the top bar displayed. I have not yet updated to the latest WP version (I am on the one before) but I don’t think that would make any difference would it? I am using the Suffusion theme incidentally so maybe there is some sort of conflict with that?

    Yes, that is the plugin, and no, I just display a line of text which links to a download on MediaFire. As stated above, I have also tried another plugin which does essentially the same thing and get the same problem. Neither will display when the Cookillian plugin is activated. Is there something I need to do in the settings?
