WP 4.3 might be a good point in time to start looking. I have site backups going back that far. Will let post findings when I know more.

It is possible that other plugin updates introduced this bug. So all other plugins were removed and the issue persists. I was thinking of examining the post type taxonomies for corruption but am unsure where to start.

Another option is to restored weekly backups to a temporary site to find the point in time of failure. This would be quite tedious.

Thanks for your thoughts about this. Can you think of any place where I can report this type of breakin attempt? We just logged/blocked the IPs of 80 more attempts this morning. This is highly unusual.

It appears that 1.1.0 loads custom css from a different location. Solution is to move 1.0.0 CSS to new 1.1.0 location:

# mv theme/events/events.css theme/tribe-events/tribe-events.css

I may have found a solution that works:

div#crp_related { clear: both; }

Or is there a better way?

That said, the ‘exclude id’ for the Home page appears to be working properly – the widget does not show Home in the Top-10 list. However, the admin dashboard area ‘does’ show stats for the Home page – this is ok.

Ah, now I understand. [post_thumbnail] uses the thumbnail generated from the post ‘featured’ image. Hence your suggestion for regenerating the thumbnail? I originally thought that your plugin auto-resizes the first image found in the post – my bad assumption.

The Top-10 plugin has an option to exclude pages and posts (by post id) from the top-10 list. Since most visitors to our site arrive at the Home page, I have excluded this page in the Top-10 exclude list. But when I look at the Top-10 daily stats in the Dashboard area, the Home page is still listed in the stats as the most popular.

I have contacted the plugin author with our site details and look forward to his reply.
