I have this same problem. Following the instructions for the Styling Contact Form works on most of the form, but it does not work on the input[“tel”] field. No matter what I try, I cannot get any styling to pass to the telephone field.

Once I kept this plugin deactivated, I was able to access the external link option on the buttons using my preferred themes and other plugins.

I would say, don’t bother with the extra effort. Most of the time there will be enough items to fill the space. I just didn’t change anything from the demo import.

Also, I figured out the issue with the portfolio pictures. The importer has the galleries in the posts, but did not assign a “featured” images. When I went in and assigned a featured image, everything showed up.

I have uninstalled the plugin, so I cannot give you the exact error message, but it was a string of lines with a runtime error, similar to what others have posted.

Using the editor to insert the php shortcode will still result in the php snippet being deleted if you are using a standard template.

Also, it means the snippet must appear on ALL of the pages using that template. It is not possible to have it appear on just one page unless you create a child theme and a new page template.

I just installed this plugin and found it was not that easy to set it up. This tutorial from WPBeginner on how to install address autocomplete was very helpful:

I’m also getting this error on brand new installation of two WP sites, no other plugins active except CF7, and running twenty-seventeen theme. Not even running Jetpack or Askimet. Nothing is on the site except sample page, with contact form. I’ve read the info in your link above and have tried all of the things you suggested, and still getting the error.

I’ve tried all of your suggested fixes and any others I could find,

– tried removing WP_mail and $attachments, and replaced with mail, etc.
– set up an email address on the domain being used
– installed an SMTP plugin (test email was fine, but still got error sending CF7)
– contacted my host provider (Bluehost), server is running fine, no issues on their end. They say it is a plugin issue.

Can you please look into this with the latest version of CF7 and the newest version of WP 4.8.1, as there seem to be a very large number of people with the same issue on the boards here, and many have had to roll back to earlier versions of plugin or WP to stop the error.

Insert any caption in the “caption” area of the WP media gallery item and it will be displayed in the fotorama slide as a caption.

I’m also using this plugin and not receiving emails. It is a new install, and the form I set up is very basic. All fields should be fine, and I get the “Your message was sent successfully” with green border after sending.

There are no SPAM filters on the email being used to receive the submissions, so no SPAM control is capturing them. They are just not coming through. Anything you can do to help?

First of all, I’m glad to hear you love the theme, but there is no reason to insult another user who left a legitimate review.

Secondly, IE is still used by 25-35% of the web users, so it’s very elitist to just say “stop using it.” A good theme works well across ALL browsers.

The review is there so others know what to expect if/when they decide to use the plugin. Yes, I can change CSS and styling on my own, others may not be experienced enough to do that. The biggest factor in the rating was the plugin’s functionality. It disappears after publishing a page, and there was no CSS styling option in the metabox area as displayed in the screen shots.

If the plugin style is just average, and the plugin’s functionality is not working, I think three stars was pretty generous.
