The message at the bottom of the checkout page IS NOT an error.
You can disable it in Jigoshop’s settings :

If you don’t want the email invoices go to jigoshop->Emails and delete the unwanted emails.
As of the first one – If you’re not familliar with PHP this may be quite difficult.

Version 1.8 is outdated for almost 2 years now.
We recommend using jigoshop 1.17.9.

Try rewriting the cart to <div>’s instead of <table>s
