Updated WordPress to 4.8 today. Also updated all my plug-ins, including Yoast SEO which is at 4.9. When creating a post, the editor is disabled. It looks fine, but you can’t place a cursor in the content area and type or paste anything in it. I disabled all my plug-ins and added them back one at a time. The only plug-in which provokes this problem is Yoast SEO.

When I do activate the plug-in, not only can I not use the editor, but whatever I had there before (after I saved the draft) is missing. The layout of the Yoast SEO section of the Edit Post screen is also screwy and cut off near the top.

Has anyone else seen this problem and is support aware of it?
Any other things I can look at to provide some debugging help?

Screen shot showing Yoast SEO box is truncated behind Excerpt box.

    Thanks!

Does the issue occur when using a default theme with only Yoast SEO active?

Is the issue specific to a certain part of your site, like posts, products, categories, etc?

Admin > Users > Your Profile: Is the SEO analysis feature UNchecked

That was my problem. I do not know why the options were disabled, but that’s what led to this error.
