Thanks you for your review, and for the feedback you have given just wanted to confirm? You want to have the position changed of where the Note gets shown or do you want it to be editable on the Backup History Page as well? As the note does get displayed when you hover over the yellow note icon if you add a note when creating a Backup.

From what you have described it seems like a issue caused because of some Firewall or some htaccess rule, which is preventing Backuply from making call to its restore file. Were you on the latest version of Backuply?Regards,

Thanks for the update and for updating the rating, from what you have mentioned it seems like it could have happened because of server load which could have killed the Backup process earlier. If possible for you create a support thread if you face the same issue, so we can work on resolving it.

Backuply doesn’t fully supports multisite it can backup/restore multisite, but currently it creates backup of whole multisite installation, you can exclude the database tables of different multisite, but those settings reflect globally for all sites, so if you want to create backup and restore whole multisite installation then Backuply will work smoothly, but if you want to keep backups of single sites in a Multisite installation, you will need to exclude the tables of other website, and add note for that to keep track of that.

@davidanderson , I also checked with other team members who were part of this project which I couldnt get through earlier.
One of them clearly remembers taking the S3 class from here :
https://github.com/tpyo/amazon-s3-php-class/blob/master/S3.php#L1995Our __getSignatureV4 is from the above and the code is nearly equal including spaces and the extra line break before the $signature declaration. We have maintained the copyright notice also as per that as you may see.
Previously since I couldnt get through the some of the devs, I took your claim and agreed to add your copyright.
I am still ok to add your copyright, but I believe you first need to ask tpyo to agree to your claim as our source is that and I really can’t make it out whether your source is from tpyo or vice versa. I do see that tpyo added this function in 2019 :

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, the issue is because of the modified host file, as your Computer know where the IP is pointing to but the server you are hosted on is trying to resolve the domain which must be pointing to some other IP, and when creating a Backup Backuply creates a request to itself to initiate the backup which is sent through the server you are hosted on which is connecting to the true IP of that domain, as the URL for the request is created using the domain of the website and not the IP.

For those who may have faced the same issue, the issue was caused because of Cloudflare, whenever the issue is related to 403 error most probably the issue is because of some kind of firewall at some layer.
The issue was resolved by whitelisting the IP of the server where the website is hosted in Cloudflare Security settings Tools tab.
