This solution worked with me:

remove /var/lib/php-cgi/session/ on session.save_path on php.ini.

still having this problem. The strange thing is that I have another site with the same version of wp hosted on the same server/service with no problem. :O

I activated the plugin on WP 4.1.1 on my local machine running windows 7 and wamp server and that was working fine, but when i tried to activated on my linux hosting machine (WP 4.1.1) o got this error message:

Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/var/lib/php-cgi/session/sess_4rrha06euu38iolqgjnbfep7v4, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in /home/storage/6/c1/f6/rodrigoafonsoselado/public_html/wp-content/plugins/booking-system/dopbs-frontend.php on line 16
