Just to give you more info:

90% of my visits look like this:

…visited https://mywebsite.com/mypage/

and then right away

left https://mywebsite.com/mypage/ and visited https://mywebsite.com/mypage/wp-content/plugins/sharify/sharify-style.php

which makes no sense, a visitor should have end up on that page

Wordfence was the only plugin updated couple of days ago, I already posted on their forum to see if there is a compatibility issue, but appreciate if you could look into this as well.

I don’t see style.php I did try to put the code in style.css and it does not work. I have a box in my theme for custom css, tried that too, it doesn’t work either.

Never mind, I did a test on a website with no Google Analytics Dashboard for WP installed. Same issue, so it appears that your plugin has nothing to do with it. Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately reinstalling did not help this time, they are still off.

I wish there was a lite version of this plugin that tracks outbound links only. I no longer use it because it causes my page load speed to be like 2 sec. With slimstat disabled my page load speed is .5 sec. I am on VPS 1 core and 1 GB mem. The site has on average 300 unique visitors a day. It doesn’t make sense to upgrade my VPS just for the sake of this plugin. As for the analytic side of it, someone who knows how to create dashboards and customize GA will get better insights into their visitors then from this plugin without extra strain on server load.

Don’t get me wrong, it is still a good plugin, I had used is for a long time. It just doesn’t fit my needs any longer. And you can’t really compete with GA providing someone knows what they are doing.

Thanks for the tip, disabling the WordFence Dashboard widget does the trick. It is so frustrating to see one plugin pushing their agenda at the expense of another one.

Along with Recent Posts Widget Extended I use Display Widgets plugin

It allows you to show/hide post(s), page(s) on certain posts, categories or pages. It is very flexible.

You can’t block them in your .htaccess file because they don’t visit your website. You can only filter them in your GA.

I’m using Version 0.9.9 and custom css works for me.
