hihaochi, I got the little check box ” subsrcibe to comment”. I followed the develloppers instructions to test it, but it did not work.( I posted twice with diffrent emails and did not receive the comment update) please look my last post.
Do you no how to customize it?
But I also realized that I actually wanted another kind of subscription box. Like a bigger box, where people can subscribe to comments without the need to comment? they just put in their e-mail address.

yes, I believe the “Subscribe to comment options” is a problem. I have NO idea how to customize it.

Use [manager_link] to insert the URI to the Subscription Manager.

What is “manager_link”?

what I want on my blog is a sign up box where people can get notification, even without leaving a comment.

Thank you,jonimueller,but there are no folders in the folders I uploaded. I checked. I tried to install another plugin, same story. Could it be a server issue? I am operating on php4. I could change over to php5, but it is a real hussle.
Any other ideas?

i tried this now on 3 different blogs I am creating. The plugin is unzipped, but does not show up in any site admin
I tried other plugins…same story. They are all in the webshell but are not recognized by WP

Hi Snowhite, I just figured out my problem.
I went back into MySQL and changed my status. I had granted the user (me) read/write and I changed that to dba. That did the trick and I am in. Hope it works for you.
