In reply to: Featured headlinesI would want to pick them manually, probably about 3 of them. Basically, at the top of the blog I would like to have a box with space for three “featured” headlines. Those links would jump straight to the individual blog posts.
The blog would begin chronologically just below those posts.
I hope that makes sense. Thanks for the help!

In reply to: Featured headlinesAs an update… I installed a sticky plugin, which works as a sticky, but it’s not quite what I’m looking for. I am just looking for headlines to be listed at the top.
Anyone have any tips? Thanks!

In reply to: Page border (padding?)Anyone have any ideas how to move the header down 4 pixels in IE? I can’t even get it to move at all. But in the Header template, I can get it to move wherever I want with Firefox.
It’s got to be an easy fix, but I feel like I’ve tried everything about 10 times.

In reply to: Page border (padding?)Well… I think I figured it out, “margins” would be the key.
I still have one lingering problem. The header image in IE needs to drop down a few pixels so it looks centered in the header background. I still can’t seem to do it.

In reply to: IE works, Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape do notHey guys,
I still can’t figure out why the header is a few pixels higher in IE than in other browsers. Anyone know what I might be missing?
Thanks!

In IE, the header is about two pixels too high, in Firefox it is about three pixels too low.

I think I got it figured out. I guess I had to edit the header.php file, too.
vkaryl — I was surprised to see the IE was able to show the image correctly while the other ones couldn’t.
thank you for your help!

In reply to: CSS question: Stretch blog to fit browserHey guys,
So, I managed to stretch the site using photoshop, but I have run into a couple of problems.
In IE, the site looks almost perfect, except the header is a little bit short (a couple of pixels) on the right side and the footer is a couple of pixels short on each side. This doesn’t make sense because the photoshop canvases were all the exact same size.
Also, in Firefox and Mozilla, the header/banner is very jumbled.
Any ideas?

In reply to: CSS question: Stretch blog to fit browserI’d still like to give it a shot (I really like the simplicity and design of the default theme)… just looking for anyone that knows how to do it.
Thanks everyone for your help

In reply to: CSS question: Stretch blog to fit browserUPDATE:
I think I have decided not to use the “fluid” format.
However, I would like to expand the width of the blog area, which is something that I tried, but was unable to do. Can someone point me to the area where I can edit the width? at the site (talkwest.com), I am talking about expanding the “white” area along with the text in that area.
Thank you for the help. It is appreciated!
