@soberbanda and @macmanx I finally solved it, it was an issue with symbolic links, I deactivted it from the plugin settings and it solved the issue. Thank you for your precious time and support.

@soberbanda Thank you for the link, however I tried also disabling the plugins without any change. All the picture can be seen except inside the photo part of the site, they are present on the server in wp-content/uploads/bb-platform-previews, it<s just that they do not show. If I change the theme the same issue is here, I assumed this is an issue from nginx configuration, it seems nginx is not serving the images, but maybe I am wrong.

@macmanx I posted here since I am using the free plugin and apparently reaching out to buddyboss you need to buy the plugin. And the issue is happening when I use the twenty twenty one theme.
