“If their tech support say different then they know as much about tech as I do the mating habits of the lesser green spotted Amazonian flying frog.”

Lol. I think that statement sums up most tech support nowadays.

“Your money. Your choice. Move if you can.”

In defense of Yahoo, I have had four sites hosted with them for over a year and a half and this was the first problem I have ever had with them. To the best of my knowledge I have had zero downtime before this. That is much better than what my work has which pays 4 times as much money for hosting with more downtime than I get.

However, I have sent Yahoo an email about this and if I don’t get a satisfactory answer in the next day, then I plan on making it clear to them that I will look elsewhere. Hopefully enough people will raise a stink about this to force Yahoo’s hand, because I for one don’t want to have to switch Web hosts at this point.

I am also in this same boat. I have two blogs with Yahoo and this weekend found them down. I found this thread when trying to investigate. There is also a Webcomic that I read that is hosted the same way that has been down. It seems like this is very widespread. After reading this I am definitely going to send them a really nasty e-mail.

“Yahoo! 360 is a recent addition that has launched, and now WordPress users are crippled?”
I too noticed this and think that it is mighty suspicious. I wouldn’t be suprised if they don’t just pull Moveable Type support off of their lists now that they have their own blogging tool.
