  • Hi. Just giving some input here – hope it helps someone else.

    The issue – whenever requesting from admin dashboard to edit any page with Elementor – the page goes blank. It doesn’t dislodge the website – the website is till up.

    I deactivated all other plugins – still didn’t work. Of course, kept alive (activated) only the Elementor plugin (both regular basic & pro) – and the “coming soon’ maintenance plugin (cause I want ppl to be directed to a coming soon page – not my still not programmed site as I work on building it). But deactivated all other plugins. Even deleted some. Still didn’t work.

    I deactivated and then deleted both plugins for Elementor (the basic & pro) – re-installed and activated – still didn’t work.

    I renewed the cache. Didn’t work. Changed browsers. Didn’t work. Shut down the computer hard shut down and rebooted. Didn’t work.

    Finally- the last step I took…was a suggestion earlier from ajaibuddah – “Go to Plugins -> Elementor ‘Settings’ -> Advanced Tab -> Select ‘Enable’ from drop-down menu of Switch Editor Loader Method -> Save.”

    This is what worked.

    Thanks, ajaibuddah – and hope this helps someone else facing same predicament.

    It is not in Settings>General.

    You go to the portion for Customization (Appearances > Customize > Theme Options > Theme General Options)

    within this access point, there is a tick box for “Snow effect on/off , Reload to view effect” Make sure the box is unticked. If it is chosen (ticked with checkmark), then the snow effect will be playing on every page of the website.

    If you unmark the checkbox – it will remove the falling snow effect.

    I had an issue with my website (probably because I had not updated the wordpress system to the latest updated version) – and had to contact support of my host to enlist “premium wordpress support” to take care of the glitch. The website was not showing up on live – only the error message of the glitch from the php files.

    and when my site was fixed – the snow was there…had to search around for how to access to remove it. Found this message – but the way to turn it off (or on, if you want it) – is not thru the ‘settings>general’ point…but rather thru the Cusomtizer option which will take you to the next steps as I’ve listed above.

    Hope this will help someone else having similar problem in the future.

    Hi.

    I have a correction to add concerning the steps to accomplish this. I had the hardest time – for some reason the pages list was appearing in the footer section – actually the section before the footer – but considered the footer section all the same. And it really made the pages terribly dragged out at the end. Not good at all. Not for user ease, nor for sense of appearance.

    Finally came across this thread – and the code that was written helped me (posted by Weblizer support) – but the procedure to access the correct spot to place the code was not right.

    What I did was this:

    Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Theme Options > Theme General Options > **

    **at the bottom of this section (theme general options) is the space for customized CSS – where I pasted what Weblizar Support gave as code: .enigma_footer_widget_column {
    display: none !important;
    }

    Then save…and it did the job!! rendered the pages listing no longer published in that area…but the final footer area where I have widgets (for copyright info & other legal statements connections, etc.) – that is still good and showing.

    Just thought to give this update on this – in case anyone else is needing it.

    I was about at the point where I was going to purchase a new theme = problem was that the other themes don’t have the aesthetic affect that we liked with Enigma.

    End of story – got the issue taken care of. Just not following the steps given to get it done.

    Regards.
