In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] [Plugin: SendPress] 500 Internal Server Error@josh Lyford
I’ll give it a look-see. I’ll see if I can locate and remove the sendpress_options key from the wp_options table. However, I’ve already dropped the SendPress tables.

I cannot confirm nor deny this issue, any longer. The 500 error/issue I’m having, has rendered SendPress completely unusable. When SendPress is installed, the entire WordPress Admin is gone.
See: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-sendpress-500-internal-server-error
This issue still has me baffled, as I’m not experiencing any issues, with any other plugins – Only SendPress… If you follow all the extensive testing, I logged (at the post listed above), you will see I’ve come to the conclusion, one of the SendPress updates, must have caused some sort of data corruption, to the main WordPress Tables.

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] [Plugin: SendPress] Email Preview/Send/Tracking IssueIts great your issue was resolved, though that doesn’t solve the 404 error issue I was having, nor the issue I’m still having with the 500 error.
My theme’s footer.php file ends this way:
<?php wp_footer(); ?> </body> </html>
So the specific wp_footer() code, which solved your problem, is already in my theme.

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] [Plugin: SendPress] Email Preview/Send/Tracking IssueI didn’t remember I had even posted about this issue, until @jamyam1982 posted a follow up issue.
I was having this 404 error almost two months before I started having the 500 error. Between that time, the plugin continued to work, except for this 404 issue, until I started experiencing the 500 error.
Do you think they are related? If so, how?
Also, the animations are choppy. When the page loads, the animation starts out fine. However, as the animation progresses, the smoothness goes away and it gets pretty choppy.
The determination of default view in Celsius or Fahrenheit is a huge deal. I understand much of the world and even many professions/industries use Celsius and Meters per Second. However, most of the people, in the US, are looking for Fahrenheit and Miles per hour.
Until a person can determin, which is the default, this plugin isn’t useful on most US websites.

In reply to: [Esponce QR Code Generator] [Plugin: Esponce QR Code Generator] UI IssuesThanks
I’m impressed! These are great UI improvements.
Good Work!
I’m still seeing size changes though, in the QR Code. If you hop on to https://bamajr.com/ and click through the menu, you can see the QR Code change size. It isn’t as drastic as it used to be, but it still happens.
Yes, this issue appears to be resolved, as of the 1.4 update. Thanks!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] [Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Missing ALT tagsI’ve been looking in to this issue for a while, as well.
As best as I can tell, WordPress SEO by Yoast checks for images, within the post/page, being created, within WordPress, and not in the source of the entire, displayed page.
I would like to review a specific post/page, any of you are having issues with. Please provide the URL to the post/page you are having issues with. Also provide a screen-shot of the error, being displayed on the “WordPress SEO by Yoast” Page Analysis tab and the permalink at the top of the page. I need these both to be visible, in the same screen-shot, to ensure the URL matches the Page Analysis.

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] [Plugin: SendPress] 500 Internal Server ErrorI’ve been considering several options to try and get my data into a new, clean install. However, something keeps nagging me…
I test all plugins in a test environment, before I add them to my live website. I look for things like validation, page load errors, performance problems, php errors, Apache errors and MySQL errors. I may not go as far as some, to make sure a plugin is error free, before installing it to my live website, but I do have a process and it has been working for years.
So, whether my process is working, or whether anyone believes I go through these processes for each plugin, doesn’t really matter to me.
What does matter, is:
- I wasn’t having issues with any other plugin when this issue started and I’m still not having issues with any other plugin.
- I wasn’t having any issues with the front-end or admin area, of my website, until the last two SendPress updates and if SendPress is removed, my website’s functionality returns to normal.
- In fact, I was using SendPress, until applying the last two updates. I wasn’t using it a lot, but it was working fine.
So, I find myself, limiting the potential issues to:
- Some sort of data corruption, which happened during the upgrade of the SendPress plugin.
- Some sort of permissions issue.
- Some sort of problem with the .htaccess file
I’ve compared the permissions to a standard WordPress installation and can’t find any discrepancies there.
I’ve compared the basic .htaccess file, from my new, clean WordPress install to the .htaccess file on https://bamajr.com/ and I can’t find any discrepancies there either.
So, I find myself agreeing with you on there being a data issue. It’s just odd that it isn’t blatantly obvious what the issue is.
I have one specific plugin, I’ve put a lot of work into, and I don’t particularly want to do all that work over. If there was a way to backup just the data, from that one plugin and then export only the relevant post, page, category, tag and user data from the WordPress install, itself, then I’d be ready to go. However, I haven’t found an easy solution, for that.
The plugin I’m concerned with is WordPress SEO by Yoast. I have done a lot with this plugin and don’t want to loose it. I could care less about the rest of the plugins.

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] [Plugin: SendPress] 500 Internal Server ErrorI’ve done all that I have mentioned above, and still cannot duplicate the issue. The problem now is, my test installation is running on the same server and with the same server config as https://bamajr.com/ and it is working fine.
However, these tests have lead me to a couple more questions.
Could this issue be due to htaccess file modifications?
Could this issue be permissions related?

In reply to: [SendPress Newsletters] [Plugin: SendPress] 500 Internal Server ErrorWith the child them installed on top of the Responsive Theme, I created an accurate configuration of menus and widgets, as used on https://bamajr.com
I get these results:
- Admin Commenters Comments Count – Check
- Akismet – Check
- Better Plugin Compatibility Control – Check
- Chatroll Live Chat – Check
- Clicky – Check
- Esponce QR Code Generator – Check
- Exclude Pages from Navigation – Check
- Jetpack – Check
- Page Links To – Check
- PC Robots.txt – Check
- Polldaddy – Check
- Register IP Multisite – Check
Again…
SendPress, has passed this process.
The last thing I can do, to try and duplicate the issue, from a clean environment is to install the plugins, in sequence, without uninstalling the previous plugin.
I’ll do this with the exact child theme, in use at https://bamajr.com/ which is already copied over.
