In reply to: [Simple Social Icons] App.netHello… Is there no easy way for App.net to be supported, within this plugin?
Yes… I have activated the “shortcodes” sub-plugin and it is great, once you get it working. The instructions for implementing the short codes, have a small inaccuracy, which keeps the shortcodes from working correctly
See the inaccuracy, in my screenshot.
The instruction is to use:
Syntaxis: [sc_field fieldname='fieldname']
However, I believe it should actually be:
`Syntaxis: [sc_fieldname fieldname=’fieldname’]’
May want to look into that!

In reply to: [Genesis Responsive Slider] Order option setting not there in source code?Ron, I understand how WordPress sorts, but I’m not convinced this slider’s “Order By:” option, is even working, as it was intended.
Let me give you an example…
Take a look at https://hope27.org
The slider is displaying these slides in a specific order. If you refresh the page, that order doesn’t change. However, the first slide represents an image, in a post, with the Post-ID: 62. The second slide represents and image, in a post, with Post-ID: 60. The last slide represents an image, in a post, with the Post-ID: 1.
If I go to:
Genesis > Slider Settings > Order By:
I can change the “Order By:” setting to anything I want, yet it does not change the order of the slides, displayed in the slider (except for random – which seems to prove that the slider does, at the very least, see the IDs differently).
This is the same issue on https://nhccigh.org
For your viewing pleasure, I’ve linked to screenshots of the applicable settings, in Genesis Responsive Slider, below:
When I see people asking about this issue, the answer always seems to be that the WP Query sorts by ID, but not by a given sequence of IDs. I would agree to this, for the most part, but only in descending order (biggest ID first). I want to be able to to sort the slider images, by ID, in Ascending order (smallest ID first), as well as manually being able to choose an order.
Additionally, when I choose the option to “Sort By:” Date or Title, I get the exact same order, on both websites, as I get when I choose to “Sort By:” ID.
Funny how people tend to create the most important pages first, and then move on, to the lesser important pages. Yet, this plugin always gives the ordering nod, to the lesser importance, as they have higher ID numbers.

In reply to: [Genesis Responsive Slider] Site not resizing to mobileRon – I’m having the same issue with Genesis, the Outreach Child Theme and the Genesis Responsive Slider. I have this issue on both https://hope27.org and https://nhccigh.org
The Slider works fine on desktop/laptop browsers. It also seems to work ok on the larger tablet screens, especially when in landscape. However, when viewing these websites, from my iPhone, the slider is definitely not resizing for visibility on it’s screen.
I wasn’t just getting this issue on one WordPress installation, but three separate installations, on two different hosts using completely different plugin sets.
I was also able to test it on a vanilla WordPress install, with only Simple URLs and Yoast’s WordPress SEO installed, with the same issues.
However, after several updates to WordPress SEO, I no longer see this issue.
FYI: I haven’t changed the plugin configuration, on the first website this issue popped up on [ link redacted, please do not post links in the reviews section ], since I first noticed the issue, other than to update the plugins and Genesis as updates came available.
So…
The issue must have been resolved in one of the several WordPress SEO updates.

In reply to: [Genesis Latest Tweets] The Twitter API returned an errorI have noticed though, that the Tweets, displayed through the Genesis Latest Tweets Widget, don’t update very quickly, when displayed on a website. Any ideas about why this can be?

In reply to: [Genesis Latest Tweets] The Twitter API returned an errorNever mind the “Warning” error.
The issue is that the Twitter AP, one must create to use the newly updated Genesis Twitter Widget, requires “Read and Write” access, on the Twitter AP Settings Tab.

In reply to: [Genesis Latest Tweets] The Twitter API returned an errorWhen I create the Twitter App, using the instructions, the website now throws the following error:
Warning: extract() expects parameter 1 to be array, string given in /home/content/38/10213638/html/wp-content/plugins/genesis-latest-tweets/includes/xhtml-widget.php on line 124
See error at: https://nhccigh.org
I understand Statcomm is using a “sub-plugin” to make Geolocalization available. I also know about the activation process. What I’m referring to, is the ability to use that Geolocalization data, across WordPress.
For instance…
If I install Statcomm and additionally install the Geolocalization sub-plugin, I should be able to use some form of shortcode to identify where my visitors are coming from. This would allow me to create widgets which identify the customer, by the area they are visiting from.

In reply to: [Google Authenticator] Feature Request – Separate From Username/Password AreaYes, I did read it. I’m saying my access, via the iOS WordPress app, should be protected by the two-factor authentication, instead of a long password.
I’m also saying that the two-factor authentication should be a secondary step, on a second screen, after the username/password screen, just like when you use any of the Google services.
I want the ability to store my usernames/passwords, but secure the websites, by forcing two-factor authentication. I do not want to be forced to remember the username/password for the web interface nor the username/long-password for the WordPress iOS interface.

In reply to: [Local Search SEO Contact Page] Tweaks to the functionality…Your plugin is starting to show great improvements. Keep up the good work.
Ron, if this issue occured after I elected to upgrade the WordPress SEO plugin, I would totally buy into your explanation. However, that isn’t when the issue occurs.
The Simple URLs Plugin, quits working, the minute WordPress SEO has an update available, and notifies me (the admin) in the dashboard. So the Simple URLs Plugin, stops working, even before the update process is initiated.
