Inserting Ads on AMP Pages + more features : AdSense Plugin needs Update

    I use official AdSense Plugin for WordPress to insert ads on my blogs. I appreciate the developers for developing such an amazing WordPress plugin which makes inserting ads so easier. However, the plugin has not been updated for last 6 month. Don’t you think it’s the right time to update it with adding more features to make our life easier?

    The reason for update is the official AdSense Plugin for WordPress written by Google, lacks following features:

    1. Doesn’t provide feature to add link units
    2. Doesn’t accurately detect the number of ads inserted on any page. For e.g. if a page has 2 responsive ad units, 1 link unit, and 1 matched content unit, then the plugin would count it as 4 ad units and force you to remove anything more than 3 before it can be activated. With Google AdSense team previously allowing 3 AdSense ad units along with 3 link units, it was neither complying with AdSense TOS earlier nor now, when Google has removed AdSense ads limit counts.
    3. Doesn’t allow adding AdSense Matched Content ads.
    4. Doesn’t allow adding ads on AMP pages. With Google actively working to AMPify user experience, adding the feature to insert ads on AMP pages will certainly encourage more publisher to choose for AMP pages without affecting their revenue.
