In reply to: Site Structure QuestionFrom the documentation I have from my hosting provider, multisite can only support subdomain structure (subdomain.domainA.com). Can WordPress Multisite support domains (domainA.com)?

In reply to: Site Structure QuestionThe most important 2 (Elementor and Events Calendar) both support multisite. I would need to bump both plans up a tier to allow multisite, but that works.
Also our site host allows multisite, so cheers! Thank you very much for your advice, I greatly appreciate it ??

In reply to: Site Structure QuestionAnother reason I ask is because a few of the plugins we use, one of which being an Events Calendar, would work extremely well if I could tag each event to connect it with a different “company,” yet on the parent website I could have a global calendar listing all events.
Plus it would be significantly more efficient to maintain/expand/update the site if it was being handled all in one place. Just wanted to make sure it would be feasible before we start the redesign project.

In reply to: [YITH WooCommerce Wishlist] Wishlist suddenly not adding productsI logged onto the site this morning and noticed the Wishlist was working correctly?
I suppose this would logically be related to the cache plugin if it suddenly started working again? We don’t have auto-updates on.

In reply to: [YITH WooCommerce Wishlist] Wishlist suddenly not adding productsI’ve had a busy last week, I’ll spin up a test server and see if I can pinpoint any plugin-related conflictions.

In reply to: [YITH WooCommerce Wishlist] Wishlist suddenly not adding productsIt has happened to me when logged in and when logged out, also when using an incognito window.
I had AJAX on and off, didn’t seem to affect it.
We did just toggle WP Rocket the other day, but the issue was occurring before we had it enabled. Before that we had whatever default caching WordPress’s settings offer, and this was what was active when the Wishlist worked.
Plugin is on version 3.21.0.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Creating an “intelligent” mailing listWe are using WooCommerce wishlist and (I believe) YITH Wishlist for some additional features. I spoke with WooBeWoo support and they do not offer any form of “cookies” for this functionality, meaning we would need to hire them to modify the plugin to be able to save searches to user’s browser cookie caches. We’d likely also have to hire a mailing list plugin provider to link this cookie data to a mailing list form box.
I should note I’ve yet to find a plugin that would provide the level of automation we are seeking. I also noted we would need an email server, as WordPress emails all get marked as “Junk” by default.
So my current assessment is that the level of automation we are seeking is NOT possible, and our best approach would be to just run a separate mailing list (or two or three) for each of our largest communities we own property in, and have a couple emails sent per week (likely not automated as well).

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Creating an “intelligent” mailing listWhile this seems like a powerful plugin, I cannot tell if it possesses the automation we seek.
For example, if a user searches in our filter section and selects a community, then opts into a mailing list for notifications on new posts, the site may send out an email maybe once or twice a month showing them some new or other products with the same “community” category?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to stop oversized image from panningHm. Upon investigation, the “hover panning” seems to now be off?
I’m not entirely sure what I could have done to make this behavior go away, but I suppose for the moment this works.
Initially it seemed to be caused by an image that is too large to be cleanly “reduced” in size to fit the gallery slider thumbnail display.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to stop oversized image from panningAlready have, they said it was not a theme function. I disabled the theme and used WP 2023 default, and the panning still occurs. This comes from a root behavior of a plugin.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to stop oversized image from panningTested with the theme disabled, still pans. It isn’t set by the theme or the theme configurations.

In reply to: WordPress “Max IO Speed” IssueI’ll look into the max filesize value, good call.
The main reason I believe it to be the IO speed is from another forum post that showcased images of the “IO” bar on the cPanel dashboard hitting 100% when they performed IO actions, and I was able to verify the same on our testing site.
Ideally this python script will be setup to run x times a day from a Windows server machine inside our network. I’ve considered running this on an Amazon AWS machine, but my calculations had it being costly to keep a machine running 24/7 for Python scripts, even if it was solely a Linux server. I’m unsure how I could configure browser controls onto such a machine, I’m less practiced at cloud hypervisors. I would guess the reason to consider going cloud would be the uptime and guarantee none of our local machines get knocked out in a thunderstorm or such.
I personally want to solve it using #2. #3 is an incredibly inefficient and imo overkill response to this limitation, and for #1 I do not want to just “hope” it doesn’t happen on other machines.
