So, in the post above I wanted to show the HTML-Entities representing the Umlaute and the three dots but www.ads-software.com converted them, correctly, to the actual, human readable characters.

So, what I wanted to say was:

Instead I see ä ß and so on in the mouse over view.

    and

    they are shown as …

Thanks again for your help, cheers

Still not showing. Giving up and putting spaces between each character:

    & # 2 2 8 ;

    This stuff.

    Thank you again, cheers

    Hi Simon,
oh great, thank you very much!

Any ETA for the next release?

In the meantime: Is it possible to checkout/clone/copy/download the trunk somewhere?

Thank you again for your support, cheers

    Dennis

der_dennis, WordPress’s plugin system allows for the download of trunk snapshots. Go to the All Versions page (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-footnotes/download/) and download the “Development Version” which should contain the latest version of trunk.

Thanks bgunnink, installation went flawless and the trunk snapshot fixed the problem with german Umlauts as advertised.

In conclusion: Great support guys, thanks a lot!

    Cheers

    Dennis
