oh yes, that would be wonderfully helpful,
alternatively:
how about you try to release updates that don’t break entire websites every single time
and don’t require hours of time having to delete the update and reinstall a much older version which actually works
One major help would be to dismiss the constant reminders about your updates – it really is a terrible update cycle you have, with every new release there has to be a further release to fix the last one!
And I don’t think I have any other plugin that needs updates most times I log in!Is there a support forum as busy as this one? (and is there one that features as many problems “after update”)

In reply to: Strange Referrer StatsIt gets more bizarre! Today I got a referal link from a hen night company, assuming this is just going to keep going with random sites appearing as referral links? annoying that it skews your stats
Once I have found an alternative I will most definitely not be using the NextGen Gallery at any point for any site, it’s just far to buggy to use.
It’s fine to be told not to use the plugin “for the time being” but my website is a collection of images of my work so not having a gallery plugin operational is a big problem, it makes part of the site pointless.
Wasting hours trying to figure out how this plugin has broken the page with the next new update is not really a pastime I enjoy – maybe you could give me a job for a couple of days after every release?oh, thanks Cais, that’s great – I’ll just take my website offline and wait in the hope that the next update fixes this problem!
although, if recent history is anything to go by the update will no doubt break some other part of my website, but i’m sure that it won’t be anything to do with the next gen plugin, it will be the other plugins that haven’t changed!!does anyone know of a way that I could maybe add some code to this specific code to stop any NextGEN code appearing in any part of it?
I don’t require any functionality of this plugin on this page so it’s particularly frustrating that it interferes with the page loadingspoke to soon! ARGH!
well, completely removing the gallery plugin and installing another version has worked in the short term.
fingers crossed it lasts until i can rid myself of the pluginI have no idea either – but it’s strange that it seems to involve your plugin every time…
It appeared to be working yesterday after I rolled back to a previous version of the plugin, however after I logged in today and had the note to update added into my wordpress dashboard again and the page is again broken.
there is no other change to any plugins, no updates and no changes to the theme, same as before – I guess i’ll have to try and go back to an even earlier version until we can implement the new gallery plugin and get refunded for this oneblank pages again today, same code on the page!
annoying when a client tells you your website isn’t working!
Why is <!– ngg_resource_manager_marker –> stopping my page loading when there is no nextgen content on the page?!?!?Given the only variable is NextGEN Gallery, it’s obvious to me where the problem lies – it’s happened time and again and NextGEN are always quick to blame it on others… if you update the plugin and it stops functioning or makes the rest of the site stop functioning when nothing else has changed it is clear exactly where the problem lies – if the problem can be rectified by resorting to a previous version of your plugin, again it’s clear where the problem lies…
Everything is is always committed to the “next major release”! we heard that in 2013 when 2.0 broke everything… this next major release is going to have to be something special, good luck with it, you’ll most certainly need it!
No worries Cais,
I am actively looking for an alternative that might be a bit more stable with the release of updates, and not so time consuming to maintain/fix/downgrade after applying updates.
Others have had the same issue of blank screens with your plugin that sound similar so maybe they will have the time to let you look at their sites to try and fix the problems you have introduced into the updates.
I am hopeful that another plugin can offer the basic functionality I require without the constant worry of needing extensive work every time an update is applied
