@santonivich – I found I wasn’t using the latest theme update. Once I updated my theme, the countdown widget started working correctly again. Good luck!
Wondering why the text change isn’t working. The author said I need to create my own language file. How do I do that?
Thank you,
Debbie- This reply was modified 6 years ago by baseballfan.
Hello Savvas,
It seems to be working in Rookie and TwentySeventeen. So does that mean there is an issue with the theme I purchased? What is strange, is this was working fine last season. So I’m assuming an update from Sportspress or the theme changed this and now it is not working. I will reach out to the author.
Thank you,

Thank you! I have gotten everything to work, except it will not change Match Day to Game Type even though I changed the name under settings > Text.
Could this be a bug?
Hello Savvas,
This will work. But, can you tell me why when I click the button ‘view all events’ the matchday field disappears?
Thank you,

Hello Savvas,
Yes, both are set to Chicago time. Sorry, I thought I had made that clear in my original post.
I’m adding all my screenshots here: https://vhsbaseball.com/bug-countdown/
Thanks,

@rochesterj – Hi Roch, I disabled the theme and put it ad twenty-seventeen, and disabled all my plugins except the Sportspress plug-in. It broke a lot of my menu links and rendered 404 errors on all my schedule pages. Basically doing that made a mess of my test site. Is there another way to test this? I do not want to mess with my live site as our season’s first game is Monday and we have a huge fundraiser directing traffic to our site right now.
Thank you!

Hi Savvasha,
I checked, and it is not selected.
Thank you,
DebbieI tried using the HTML block but it won’t render once I log out of WordPress either.
What about my other questions? Are you able to assist with them? Thank you
Thank you Brian that solved the issue. However, I have another couple of questions. 1) I have 3 schedule pages: Freshman, JV and Varsity. On each of these pages, I added a Sportix Editor Block above my Event List Block and it will only show up in preview mode. Once I log out of the site and look at the page, the block doesn’t show. Is there a reason for this, or is it a bug too?
2) How do I change the word Results in my Event List to Time? Currently, the time is being displayed under the word Results.
3) What block would I use to display the score of the game after it has been played? Coach doesn’t want me to display detailed info, just the final score for both teams.Thank you so much for your help! I’ve spent hours trying to figure out that calendar issue, but the new update solved it.

Hi,
I did a little research on the Sportspress demo site and it has the same error therefore I believe this proves it is a Sportspress issue and not a theme issue. Please go to:
https://demo.themeboy.com/marquee-baseball/2018/03/28/?post_type=sp_event
Click on any of the scheduled events that day (there are 2) and you will render a 404 error which is identical to the error I am experiencing on my site.

In reply to: [SportsPress - Sports Club & League Manager] Problem Calendar with 2 event@lexio85 hi, were you able to fix your issue? I’m having the same one with my calendar. It works fine if there is only one event that day. But if there are multiple events on a day and you click on them you end up with a 404 error. Also, if I’m logged in to admin everything works perfectly. As soon as I log out the 404s come back.

Thank you @baward53 I read it, but that did not solve my issue. So happy yours is solved. It is so aggravating. The weird thing is it works when I am logged into my site, but quits as soon as I log out.
@rochester – I spent a good 45 minutes with my hosting provider and determined it is not on that end.
