These automatic weekly mails drive me crazy. They get activated without being deliberatly turned on, out of nothing. Just had my mailbox full of 45 of these useless mails. Deactivated and uninstalled all Duplicator instances on my client’s websites. How can any reasonable plugin author think it’s a good idea to automatically turn on weekly messages in a plugin update? Do not support this kind of behaviour. I don’t have the time to log into all my client’s websites and turn off this kind of spammy messaging I never ever wanted.
Totally agree as well. It’s a huge task but I started uninstalling the plugin in 250 of my client’s sites as I was flooded with concerned questions about security issues that the plugin indicated for no reason. I also highly dislike plugins that come up with a “red dot” with every update. It’s really a pity, used to be a great plugin, but… goodbye – the author has totally overdone it. I’d like to compare this behaviour to a good newsletter that you subscribed to and then suddenly the frequency goes from weekly to twice daily. Terrible.

In reply to: [Explore] Slider DurationHello Barsha,
I am aware of all these things, I would simply be thankful for a hint in which file(s) I need to change what values in order to get a longer slider duration.
Best regards, Andi

In reply to: [Explore] Slider DurationHi Barsha,
Many thanks. So just to make sure, it’s also impossible to edit some script file in order to set a certain number of seconds?
Best,
AndiThat did the trick indeed. Many thanks. So far I thought it’s useless to just delete the ini files – but the advice “it can take a few minutes” was important. So far when this happened I simply did not wait long enogh for the cache clearing. That will be a great help in the future.
Hi,
Thanks. So the answer to the main question “is it impossible to make a working Duplicator package without uninstalling NFW completely first?”
… is “YES, it’s impossible”, I guess?
Hi,
Thanks. So this basically means it’s impossible to make a Duplicator package (which is simply a ZIP file with all Data and Database) without uninstalling NFW completely?
According to your message, however, I suspect that it might be possible to manually change the paths in the mySQL dump file? Or simply delete some stuff inside the dump in order to be able to make a clean deployment on the target server?
