Thank your for your interest. This would be a great feature. I think we’ll add “full wp-rest support” on the roadmap.
For now, you can use the custom meta. An eent is just a post (of any type) with these meta.

Lucky you, we were working on it. Version 1.2 removes the limit clause.
You should now see all your profiles!
We have an evolution in the roadmap : in addition of the current setting, letting toggle visibility from the category list.

We take attention to integrate our plugins in their ecosystem. And the Hie-Categories setting page has its place in the WooCommerce menu more than in the main WP menu.

Not sure it is related to EventPost.
The best way is to check the Network console in the brower when you save the post. The output should be json, if some data are appened before, you’ll see them.
