Interesting, but what do you mean — local information? Something like Microdata/RFDa?
Thanks for that Royho!
I am rather handy with PHP, but no experience with custom WordPress plugin API.
What I want to do isn’t so complicated, it required adding a few lines of: add_action and remove_action functions in the functions.php file.
So creating a custom plugin for that shouldn’t be too difficult?
Am I right to assume that if I update my WooThemes theme, any changes I made to functions.php and other files will be overwritten?
Anyone? Thanks.
In short: what is a “custom plugin” and how do I create one to work with WooThemes and WooCommerce to change the order of homepage stuff?

In reply to: [Woo Remove Qty selectors] [Plugin: Woo Remove Qty selectors] how to undo?A very good point! There seems to be no “delete” function in the cart.
So maybe disabling the quantity selectors on the product page but leaving them in the cart is an option?
Or maybe hiding the (+) button, but making the (-) button into an (x) button to cancel it? Should be a simple CSS fix.
Any tips? Thank you in advance ??
Oh wow, thanks!
Do you mean for those two plugins, or for the WooCom short-code? And where’s the “sharing section” you speak of?
Thanks, good call on speed!
I saw those two plugins, but the thing is — they’re not consolidated and the buttons appear in two different places (one near price, the other below category, for example). Then adding the Twitter and Google+ manually will add even more disparity as they’ll have to go in the Description or Short Description section.
It’s all very messy.
I’m really sad that the shortcode doens’t work and align well. Also, there’s no Like button without trailing text or counters. Plus, it’s about 5 pixels higher than all the other ones, so looks very odd.
There’s potential… that’s why I’m interested in the short-code. If I throw something good together, I will report back, but also interested to hear what other people have used ??
Cool, thanks! Solved!
Perfect.
Any ideas about these two questions:
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] WP Super Cache breaks woocommerceSeems to work for me.
I simply turned the WP Super Cache plugin on, and didn’t change any settings. Is it good enough out of the box like that?
Thank you ??
Update about attributes: I played around with attributes, but the issue is that they are not clickable on the product page, while the category is. I think I will use that, but I appreciate the suggestion.
Update about localization: I took a look at the plugin, and it seems pretty clunky to have something like that running on WP for a simple translation of one word (plus any plural or URL variants)… no?
Question: I also realized that I cannot find a place to rename the terms “product” and “products” anywhere. I would like it to be “artwork” and “artworks” as appropriate — would you suggest localization also for this?
Important Update: I removed it from the WooTheme settings but left my UA-XXXXX-X number in the WooCommerce plugin, and the Google Code disappeared from my page source.
Turns out it is needed in both places?
Thank you. Great idea with localization!
Also considering attributes now, but it seems that categories have a more prominent place.
But some concerns:
– Essentially, there’ll only be a few artists (under 10).
– There may be more attributes and relate to other things (material, year, size)So what is your call on this one?
I am, thanks.
So I’ll remove it from the theme ??
I can imagine that being in both places, it can cause a few bugs…
