I had included the link in the description, no other plugins used.

I too have had these issues with speed once the free version of the plugin is installed, even before adding any events. As soon as its disabled the site speeds up nd becomes usable again.

Have you tried changing the settings page to say test oage for instance. It will still show your shop page and should show products.

But keep your actual shop page as is?

This seemed to work for me so I could keep my shop page as I had set it up

This does work. I use the elegant themes template which has a built in woocommerce shop module – disable that and go back to the original wordpress interface on that page and it does work.

However I have also found, populating the page with the built in shop module from elegant themes, change the shop page in the woocommerce settings and that also fixes it too.

Looks like we need to wait for a fix then.

I have done some research on this. When I updated to Version 3.3.1 all products were lost from my shop page.

If you change the page allocated under Woocommerce settings > Products > Shop Page from Shop to a test page, you will find your products appear back on the Shop page.

As soon as I change this setting back to the shop page the contents disappear.

So I created a new page BUY, added the products shortcode and bang it was there. Changed the settings again on the woocommerce settings page, changing the shop page to BUY and again they disappear.

So it is something to do with the settings page by the looks.

Until there is a fix I have changed the settings page to a test page and it seems to work. However i’m no expert so I’m not sure what the repercussions of doing this are???

Any ideas?

Having read endless webpages on the subject I have finally solved the issue.

Unfortunetly you cannot change the permalinks to have .html at the end, all links seem to end in /page/

However, by opening up the .htaccess file in my wordpress folder on my host, I was able to add in this piece of code

RedirectPermanent /aboutus.html https://mywebsite.co.uk/aboutus/

this then redirects all google links through to the relevant page. you can do this will all your links as well

Thanks for all the help, I actually had huge issues, so ended up doing things the long way round, reinstalling wordpress on the root folder, under my .com address and redoing the website

However I would like to know two things:

1) why did things go wrong
2) wordpress is now located in the root folder, not under a wordpress folder though. My .com address points to the root. my co.uk points to a folder called /rapidw as they are the same hosting package.

Why did things go wrong. I changed on the dashboard, the root folder to https://www.kustominteriors.co.uk and changed the blog address to the same. I moved all of the contents of the wordpress folder to the root. I checked the .htaccess file and checked the wp-config which were fine. however when I tried to access https://www.ksutominteriors.co.uk I can a 500 internal server error. I had configured the phpadmin elements to look at the root folder, but nothing i did seems to work. Then I wasnt even able to move them back as by this point I wasnt able to login to wordpress.
Ended up reinstalling a fresh wordpress copy and re-doing the whole site

2) so how do I now get the website to show on both domains, my .com is showing. However I want the co.uk domain to point to the wordpress

can I remove the direction to the /rapidw (which is where I upload my existing rapidweaver designed site to) which the home appears under https://www.kustominteriors.co.uk, to point to / – will this work having the wordpress site point to both?

Appreciate any help, as I seem to get my knickes twisted and then cant access anything, other than to do a compelte install and rebuild

Sorry another question: I’ve noticed on my existing website, all webpages are

https://www.kustominteriors.co.uk/aboutus.html

With wordpress it would be

https://www.kustominteriors.co.uk/aboutus/

So will this make a difference anyway (eg without the html – I would imagine the /aboutus.html is what has been registered with google, so either way I wont get picked up
