In reply to: [Sympose] Updates? That would be awesome! Thank you. My email is my WordPress username @ Gmail dot com.
I am sad that the development isn’t continuing. This is a really useful plugin that could use continued updates.
Thank you!
Brian
Oh, hey! I found a SECOND “Reset Site Kit” button inside of the Tools/Available Tools page. (I had been using the one in the Site Kit/Settings page.) This time it looks like it worked but now gives me the message after that “Your site may not be ready for Site Kit
Site Kit cannot access the WordPress REST API. Please ensure it is enabled on your site.”Here begins the rabbit hole….
I disable the “Prevent discovery of usernames” setting and no change. I did some digging on the 500 error and apparently others have had issues with php running out of memory. My php.ini was set to “memory_limit = 128M” since I installed it initially. I changed it as suggested here and now it works.
What I want to know is what changed in the last week to make this all not work? It all worked fine before.
- Sent.
- I log in to my account with admin privs. I activate Site Kit. I navigate to the site home page and the generic error is al;l I see for any page not in the wp-admin area. In Incognito mode the site seems to function fine. In a regular window, I log out of my account and navigate to the site’s home page and all works properly.
- No warnings. No errors. 5 Recommended Improvements including a 500 error on REST API that might be related to the WordFence Security plugin setting “Prevent discovery of usernames through ‘/?author=N’ scans, the oEmbed API, the WordPress REST API, and WordPress XML Sitemaps ” being active.

In reply to: [Blog2Social: Social Media Auto Post & Scheduler] Minimally UsefulI’ve updated my review to include what I’d need. I still have to manually crosspost to Patreon. A video crosspost to Tiktok would be useful.
At the moment the only advanced option I want is autoposting, and I’m not convinced $80/a year is worth it to save me 30 seconds a post.

In reply to: [ZodiacPress] The Swiss Ephemeris is not working.*BUMP*
I’m also having this issue.
I’m running on an older system, newest WP. Here is the system info:

I’m seeing these on my sites as well. Looking at the code, nothing stands out as the usual malicious junk. Time stamps are consistent with a recent update to the plugin and match the other filed in the plugin.

In reply to: [Use Any Font | Custom Font Uploader] Free API only allows ONE font!I understand the idea of premium features, but the one font issue is crippleware.
I ended up using WordPress Font Uploader. It’s less robust, but at least I can switch back and forth between 3 or 4 fonts.

In reply to: [Use Any Font | Custom Font Uploader] Free API only allows ONE font!Only one font. That makes it totally useless for me. If I only need one, I’ll just use Fontsquirrel.
I wasted my time lookijng because the FAQ reads:
Does it works with multiple fonts ?
Ya, it works with multiple fonts.Nowhere on the WP plugin page can I find any indication of the retarded limitation. You can’t see this till you get the API, and by then, most people have already installed the plugin.
Thus… 1 star for wasting my time.
Nevermind. My bad. I typo’d the formatting.
I just found a minor bug.
If you edit an event, the event list lists the edited/published date and not the event date. The widget displays the correct date.
Example:
https://psychic-fairs.com/events/psychic-faire/
The event listing (and also on the main listing/search result page) shows August 8th. The Events widget shows the correct date of 31 Aug.Ok, I think I found the issue.
You mentioning you don’t see the locations at https://psychic-fairs.com/?post_type=location&p=66 tipped me off, because I see the location *there* just fine.
I just scoured the FAQ, Troubleshooting Guide, and Documentation.
As far as I can tell I was using the plugin as documented… but you missed a very important piece of information in there.
I have been seeing the locations just fine on the locations page… but then I’m logged in.
It seems (and this is not documented anywhere I can find) that if you add a new location inside the “New Event” form, even if you’re the Administrator of the site, the location is added as “Pending”. Even if the event is approved, the location must be approved separately.
This is counter-intuitive, undocumented, and there does not appear to be any setting to change this.
I seem to have gotten it all working now.
You obviously were not listening. I already tried that. I’ve tried everything I could think of other than debugging your code for you.
OK. I’ll humor you.
Voila.
Twenty twelve theme. Stock.
ALL other plugins disabled.
Permalinks set to “Default” aka, off.
NOW take a look. Problem persists.
I made no changes. This is a brand new site.
I deleted Events Manager and re-installed from scratch. The problem persists.
There are NO customizations. Not in the theme and not in any plugin.
I’ve disabled unnecessary plugins and pared down the available themes to just the one I’m using and those from the WP team.
I even turned off permalinks.
The error is still there.
What else would you suggest? As this is a brand new site, I’m Ok giving you an admin account to take a look around. Email me at [email protected] if this is an option.
I have tried turning off every active plugin and switch themes to include the “Twenty Ten” theme. The error is still there.
I tried disabling ALL plugins (except the Events Manager)and switching to the “Twenty Ten” theme and the error still persists.
Anything else?
