And I solved the issue. It was a problem with the “Restrict Site Access” plugin. Woo!

Was using a custom DB in Auth0, switched to the “Username-Password-Authentication” and now everything is working fine. WOOHOO!

This is one other reason why volunteers forward you to the commercial product’s vendors. The vendors are responsible for supporting their commercial product.

If you are working with a child theme, you will want to copy all contents from the original header.php file in the parent theme to a file in your child theme folder of the same name. After you have the header.php file in your child theme folder, you can then open and edit the contents.

Could you link to your website, so we may be able to troubleshoot?

Here are at least two different approaches you can take for this issue:

1. You can try looking under the menu “Appearance” to see if an option called “Theme Options” exist. Here you might be able to update a link from news-archive to just new.
2. Second, you can look on the page itself, under Pages the front page is marked as “Front page.” Here you might be able to update the link.

Due to this theme being a custom theme, you may want to contact the person who had created it.

What option did you choose on the Permalinks page?

the subfolder child is just an example. The file structure for your host is a bit confusing to me. Inside httpdocs you should see three folders (wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes. Also there should be a number of php files on the same level as the folders I just mentioned. I would recommend downloading your .htaccess folder and see if the login has a redirect to the link you need.

.htaccess usually sets up when you go to Settings — Permalinks, then click Save changes.

I just wanted to follow up to tell you that I have added the Evolve theme to a local install of WordPress and have been able to view the Page options box. I have also installed both plugins you have mentioned and still see the Page options when I add a new page or post.
