Ah, are you talking about Site address and WordPress address? Have you tried entering in the full address plus the wp-admin?

For instance your site is given a WordPress Address of: yoursite.com/child but your Site address is set to yoursite.com

You will need to login using this link: yoursite.com/child/wp-admin

Can you go into more details or step-by-step process you take to update these pages?

Also, have you added any new plugins recently?

In step 5 you mentioned you had removed all the folders. Did you add the Avada theme back into /wp-content/themes/ ? If not that is why you site is showing as a black white screen. WordPress is looking for the Avada theme and cannot find it.

If the CV’s are in PDF file, you can install a Plugin called PDF Embedder. The document works as advertised.

It looks as if you have a redirect activated. My advice would be to backup your .htaccess delete the one on the server and try again to login.

Could you provide more details, such as:

• what version of WordPress you are running?
• A list of plugins
• Any changes you have made recently with you site
• The name of your Theme

How were you able to change the name? Was it from a plugin or code placed inside the functions.php Theme file?

It looks like a permissions error. I would get in touch with the person who set your WordPress site up to investigate.

When you say page options, are you referring to the block that allows you to choose a page parent or page template?

I have good news Kthulu667, it is possible to replace the WordPress files without starting from scratch! Here’s how:

1. Start by opening up your favorite FTP application
2. Find a place on your computer to download the wp-content folder & the wp-config.php file found in the root folder. This is where the plugins and theme is kept. This is done as a precautionary method.
3. Next this is where you delete the wp-admin & wp-includes folder. You can delete the files in the root but DO NOT delete the wp-config.php file.
4. Go to www.ads-software.com to download a new copy of WordPress.
5. Unzip the compressed file and upload the folders and files you deleted in the earlier steps.
6. Load up WordPress again and see if you are back on track!

I would recommend contacting the Theme author. The folks helping in this forum may not have access to the premium theme and can only offer unlimited support for those. The theme author, in this case, would be able to help you out.

I would try deactivating the new plugins one by one to see if there is a conflict. If a conflict does exist, I would recommend getting in touch with either the Theme author and/or the plugin author and report the bug!

In this big backup file(s) they sent you, did it contain an XML file with all your posts?

I would recommend contacting your host with these issues, if you haven’t already. As far as the center styling, could you provide a link to your site so that I can check to see if that styling exists.
