This is a low-level response. It’s not obvious the plugin will install – so the only reason for that is you are trying to sneak it in – it takes effort to make something hard to detect. The honest method is to offer it to people and allow them to opt in. NOTHING should ever be installed by default. People only use this trick when they know the plugin is unwelcome.

I work as a professional website performance analyst. Your claims of 2100% increase in conversion rates have NO EVIDENCE to support them, and are outrageous. The average conversion rate for pop-ups is around 3%, the same as the average for any website. Companies offering popup products claim they can – if well designed – achieve a conversion rate of 10%. Which is – at best – a 300% increase over the average for a website. And this from people trying to get you to use them. No one claims 2100%.

However, empirical studies found NO IMPROVEMENT from popups. See “Hurry up! The effect of pop-up stores’ ephemerality on consumers’ intention to visit” in the Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Jan 2021.
