Yes this is definately something that needs to be added.

I usually use a virtual machine with an older browser to test with, but there are some 3rd party products that can help in that department… check out https://www.browsershots.org as one option.

I like this idea (specifically the OS detection)… I will take it under consideration, and you will probably see it in an upcoming release.

Not sure what is happening with your facebook vanity ID, I cannot pull it up directly or in search results on facebook. Was the vanity ID just set up recently? maybe it has not made it’s way all through the facebook system yet?

But when I did a search for “maths factor” on facebook, I got the following page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Maths-Factor/183700148382, and using the id at the end of that url 183700148382, returns the correct results with the plugin.

So as to avoid slowing down your site on load, and not abusing the social networks that you are displaying stats from, there is an update interval which is set in the plugin administrator, the minimum setting is to check every 15minutes, also there is another setting for “update type” which if set to maximum will only display the highest number of fans/followers/friends etc.. for that social network, whereas the “current” setting displays the actual number of contacts for that given network. I hope that answers your question, and I would assume that your stats are updated correctly now.

I think I’ve figured out what is going on with the youtube stats, hopefully will have a fix pushed out for that soon.

On the facebook stats, double check your vanity id, when I try to go to your facebook page facebook gives me a message that the page cannot be found.

Let me know if that helps with the facebook issue.

This should be fixed in 0.4.3… can I get a verification that it solved your issue?

Google hasn’t released a public API as yet to get these numbers so I am scraping them from the live pages, but I have only worked on personal pages to this point. I have played around with your page today and it is proving a daunting task. Google keeps switching up their design elements to try and stop exactly what my code does.

I will have to play with it a little more before I will have a fix. Sorry I don’t have better news, but it is on the “fix-it” list.

Are you using the Basic or Advanced widget?

The basic widget is governed solely by the networks enabled in the admin panel, the advanced plugin allows you to enable and disable networks directly… if you are using the advanced plugin, make sure you only have the networks you want to show up enabled.

Let me know if that is not the case and that you are using the basic widget…

Not a super quick hack, but I will make note of that and include an option to have the links open in a new window with the next release.

I’ll also work on adding some options about which stats to show in the next release.

Not sure what is the malfunction on YT. if you know how to check your web server log, feel free to send me any errors that may be showing up from the plugin, that may give me a better place to start.

Ok, it looks like I may have the version issue fixed, you should see it available in your wordpress admin panel as an available upgrade in a few minutes.

0.7.3… it is still showing 0.7.2 for some reason…. but the download link is for 0.7.3… I’ll see if I can fix it.
