I don’t know – there backup plugin wasn’t creating backups and I don’t want to update the PHP without backing up the site first. So, I’m in a catch 22…

She refuses – claiming the unsubscribe doesn’t work. I suspect it is a user issue, but as she rightly pointed out – it is my legal responsibility to remove her from my list if she asks…and I can’t seem to do this. Can I PM her address and someone at WordPress remove her? I suspect she is likely to become ugly about this…

Hi There,
I got tired of fielding complaints from readers trying to subscribe and being unsuccessful so I replaced the functionality with MailChimp’s RSS Campaign. The original question was posted almost a month ago and I followed the instructions from @lizkarkoski and submitted through the site. After I didn’t get a response, I questioned again and was told there was a bit of a backlog. Understandable, but I had to be responsive to my readers at some point ??

The functionality that I was questioning was Jetpack’s blog subscription functionality.I don’t believe I received an issue number – hence my follow up question over 3 weeks ago – I hadn’t received anything at that point.

I can put the subscription widget back in place but since I can’t get it to work, I don’t really want it being visible for long…I’m sure you understand.

I look forward to instructions,

I’ve gotten rid of the 403 error I believe – but still see the fatal error. Can you have another look?

Perfect, that’s what I was thinking. I use Jetpack’s subscription functionality. And that was the answer that I was hoping for.

I did put fresh copies of the function file and the load file and still nothing. Any other thoughts?

That was my first step – to remove all the plugins, but I never got to the o]point of loading them back in one at a time as the error messages didn’t go away with the removal of the plugins. Any other thoughts?

Here’s an interesting twist to this story. I used the max_input_vars = 5000 on my friend’s blog and magically I had all the menu items back that I had lost! Today I added a few more menu items and “Poof” there went half of the menu again. I looked in the php.ini file and the code was still present. I removed it, saved, logged out, waited a few hours, logged back in, replaced the code and nothing. I still have only half a menu….so is this a fix that only works once??? Does anyone have any thoughts?
