I have wordpress version 2.0.2

My question is that can I directly upgrade from 2.0.2 to 2.0.4 following the upgrade instructions for 2.0.4? OR do I have to go through 2.0.2->2.0.3->2.0.4?

There are more than one gravatar plugins floating around in the web. You might want to check which one is it compatible with by checking the arguments in the function calls.

If you install wpusersonline plugin, you’d notice how often google and yahoo bots crawl your website.

Did you post comments while you were logged in? If not, then does your comment usually have a lot of links?

Google Reader’s “put on site” works well. Though it’s a script.

Derell do you use flock as your blogging client by any chance? I used to have this problem with flock.

You could spice up your header a bit. Over all your theme is quite nice.

Google Adsense ads are “targeted” ads. It chooses its ads based on the content of the page. So given that assumption, it’s better to place the ads on post page. That would make the ads more specific and more related to the post. And assuming the reader has interest in the material covered in the post, there’s a greater chance that he/she would click on the ads.

In my blog, I have no ads on the main page, but a single line text Ad on the post page . My two cents.

Well it doesn’t throw an error on my page. I use kubrick theme along with sidebar widgets as well.

You might want to check your sidebar.php file again.

I agree with moshu. Using stylesheets is a more elegant approach and let’s you switch themes easily.

If you still want to go by not using stylesheets, you may have a look at the template-functions-category.php file in the wp-includes folder.

For me, importing posts worked fine, using the RSS importer. And the categories were preserved as well.

For comments I used this import script. The weird thing is that, although comments got imported, the comment count still shows zero.

all the post in the hosted blog show zero comments even though they have comments in them. Weird eh?
