In reply to: Error when uploading CSV “Sorry, This File Type…….Hi
No it didn’t save, and still doesn’t after removing the test code from wp-config.
I edited the funtions.php file in file manager instead. But wasn’t able to upload a csv after doing that, unfortunately. So close! ??

In reply to: Error when uploading CSV “Sorry, This File Type…….So, the test part worked (hooray!) – no longer getting error message when i try to upload csv.
So imoved onto step 2, but was unable to add that script to my functions.php
error was:
“Something went wrong. Your change may not have been saved. Please try again. There is also a chance that you may need to manually fix and upload the file over https://FTP.”
Before I go the ftp route, can i check I am taking the steps correctly? Should I have removed the code I added to the wp-config file to do the test before adding that code to functions php?
Again, thank you. I feel like we are getting somewhere.
If I am leaving that code in the wp-config file, I have read it can affect site security. Is that people being over dramatic, or is it a real issue i need to consider?
Thanks
Becky

Ah, I see. I was following your instructions “You can reach it under Appearance –> Theme Editor” ??
No probs – can go into Cpanel file manager. Thanks, I’ll take a look at that now.

In reply to: Error when uploading CSV “Sorry, This File Type…….There is no wp-config in my theme editor. Is that because I’m using a child theme> And if so, how do I add it in?
Thank you so much for your help

In reply to: Error when uploading CSV “Sorry, This File Type…….Hi Bruce @ninjateampc
I really appreciate your prompt reply, and I think it would be a very good idea to implement the ability for users to update through the wrodpress dahboard.
I’m more confused now, though. Brings me back to my first query above “Regarding the update notice, you can see it in the WP admin dashboard like this https://prnt.sc/tqw5xm”
In the screenshot you provide, it clearly shows the option to update through wordpress. Yet then you say it’s not possible?
I have no other plugins through code canyon so installing the plugin is not an option to update one plugin that updates so infrequently.

Hi Bruce (@ninjateam)
Thank you for such a fast reply!
So, how would I have had to purchase the plugin to be able to update it in WordPress admin? Code canyon was the only way I could find to buy it when I purchased it – it was not available through wordpress dashboard, and adding another plugin just to do an update for one plugin isn’t really an option as I’m trying to minimise the number of plugins I use. Too many already! ??
Thanks
Becky
Hi Kelly (@ninjateam)
“Regarding the update notice, you can see it in the WP admin dashboard like this https://prnt.sc/tqw5xm”
I have never seen this. I always have to remove the older version of filebird then reinstall the new version – a bit of a nuisance. I would love it if I could just update it in the wordpress admin plugin area like all other plugins. How can I achieve this? I have the pro version.
Thanks
Becky
