Elementor must have changed the setting with an update to “enable”.
So i disabled the option and now it works like before.

it is a little bit more complicated than just deleting the mplugin.php file.
You also need to check your database and function.php for code.
Here you can get some info where to look in your database:
STACKOVERFLOWThere might be also a file called admin_ips.txt which has to be deleted.
In that file you can find for example all the IPs of the website admins so he doesnt see the ads shown to the visitors of your site.And just in case you have a file like mplugin.php, which is malware but will return when you delete it, you can always just download it. Open it in editor, delete the code and upload it with the deleted code overwriting the exisiting file. Then you just give the file only read but no writing permission.
Hope you manage to get that nasty malware out of your website soon.
