Just a further update. I have just viewed the source of my main page and there is loads of stuff and links on there I have not added.

I do have a pda plugin so my site formats okay with pocket pc. It actually does look quite good although I would like to change the colour scheme. However at the moment nobody can comment via pda as I have an antispam maths question which the pda browser does not seem to pick up.

I wish I could code, I would do this myself. All it needs is the basic functions of the admin dashboard – create, edit and delete posts. It does not need functionality to deal with plugins or anything like that and really would make my life easier.

I do not like the blog by email as its quite slow to update.

Unfortunately there is not a live writer version for PDA. Although I have commented on their website that they should do one. Its a great desktop one though ??

Make sure the themes are not in another folder within that folder.
Some themes when you extract them are within two folders deep. So when you open the theme folder you should first see all the theme files and not another folder.
If there is another folder there, upload that folder instead.

OMG you are fab it worked, i didn’t upload a whole new wordpress but just that single file. Not only that, it fixed my other problem of the redirect error.

Thankyou very much indeed. Any idea how that file could become so corrupted? I even have no idea how the redirects got screwed up.

I went away on holiday for a week, came back, wrote two posts then everything went haywire.

I must add, this is not the index.php of my theme, its the index.php that resides in the root wordpress folder

What sort of information should be in there? I could perhaps create a new one

I reposted it using windows live writer and it seems okay now.
I sometimes get problems posting using the admin page, I might stick to live writer from now on.

Update, I have managed to recover the sidebar. For some reason the last entry had knocked the sidebar off. Not sure why it did that.

Still stumped on the error though if anyone can help. I opened the file with notepad and the php tags are in tact. Is there any way to see which is line 269 without manually counting them all?

With regards to the error message, it seems like the plugin “redirectify” is the problem although I have no idea why its now playing up, its been working for months now.
If I disable the plugin, there is no error, but obviously no content within the pages as the plugin is not there.

Not sure what to do.

The only thing I can think of is that she may be on an isp that has a bulk blocked ip range.
