Since we’re chatting about countdown timers, I think I’ll add a feature request here for a countdown timer similar to https://tinypic.com/r/npji0z/8
Could you create a countdown timer using easy modal script that functions similar to https://tinypic.com/r/npji0z/8 — the viral leads plugin is at https://graphicsbolt.com/gratisan/2014-nov/wpspeedblock.zip. Tutorials at https://graphicsbolt.com/gratisan/2014-nov/tutorial%20and%20HTML.zip
So, on any popup, when the countdown timer is 0, visitor is shown another message in the same popup window. I’m unsure how this will work with the hard exit. I’ll be happy to do beta testing.
1. I’d like to add a countdown timer to the top of the popup’s optin form — see https://tinypic.com/r/20rtxev/8)
When the visitor arrives the popup loads after a few seconds, the timer will start so I guess the timer is unique to the visitor.I’m researching countdown timer plugins but I wonder if there’s any that works well with Popup Maker. The best one I’ve seen is pageexpirationrobot ($376 OUCH!), but there’s Uji Countdown, and T(-) Countdown
2. OK, I’ll have to buy the “hard exit which is also included could be used on mobile which will prompt them to stay on the page when they try to leave for a special offer.”
3. OK, the link popup won’t work inside an email client but I can buy “Advanced Targeting Conditions to show a popup to a user that clicked a link from an email”
I’ve had such unfortunate luck with plugins, etc and I’ve purchased items that don’t work so I’m naturally quite leery. Plus, they go defunct after about 1 or 2 years. However, as I already mentioned, your easy modal script works well out-of-the-box and on mobile so I’m thinking of building my list using Popup Maker.
NB: I hope that mobile popups will be permitted for a long time and not be blocked/coded out as they are on the web.

In reply to: [Redirection] When will you UPDATE this plugin?OK, I went into the database and deleted a record that I suspect was the cause of the blank white page problem and now the plugin works. However, links are not opening in a new window as set by WP External Links plugin.
The external links work on another site with this plugin but not this site which uses a different theme.

In reply to: [Redirection] When will you UPDATE this plugin? This plugin was updated this month but I’m still getting a blank white page whenever I activate this plugin which I really like. Now I have to use Simple 301 Redirect plugin until the author fixes this problem.
I’m using the latest WordPress 3.9.1

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Getting multiple posts of same articleUpdate: Yesterday and today I’m getting duplicates again. I changed the import new feeds to 4 hours and I changed the keep feeds to 3 weeks (instead of 2 or 3 days).
I’ll keep you posted on results.
FYI: I thought that maybe the theme may be causing the problem which only displays in “feed to post” and not in feed widget. However, on another site using a different theme, I see duplicates.
Please keep me posted on popup functionality similar to https://wpnrc.com/ as you stated.

In reply to: [EZ Premium Testimonials] Testimonial text on carousel's right side cut offHere are some problems with this plugin that the author needs to correct.
1. Carousel always displays on top of webpage and not in location where you placed the shortcode. I had added it to the bottom of the page and in the middle of the page but carousel still displays on top of page.
2. Captcha required because I’m getting spam “testimonials” now. I have Akismet and Wangguard installed and there’s no comment spam at all. Only spam is in this plugin’s admin area.
3. I already mentioned that the margins need correcting since the text is cut off at the right margin.
I, and many other users, like this plugin and it’ll be wonderful when the plugin author updates this plugin with desired corrections listed here.

In reply to: Migrate WordPress from subdirectory to root folder or install?Update: I reinstalled WordPress in the root folder and it took me 2 days to get the site back up and running after using the sql backup.
I learned my lesson. ALWAYS follow WordPress Codex to a T and NEVER change WordPress URL in admin > Settings > General.
This was my first time installing WordPress in a sub-directory.
Thanks for everyone’s help.

In reply to: Migrate WordPress from subdirectory to root folder or install?Update: I read https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/wordpress/wordpress-changing-the-site-url-and-home-settings and there is a field for WordPress Url called home in wp_options and I changed it back to the pre-migration url. However, I’m still unable to access WP admin using pre-migration url which should be the correct url.
By the way, I noticed that I can access the site from both the pre-migration url and the new url. Shouldn’t visitors only be able to access the site from the new/root url?

In reply to: Migrate WordPress from subdirectory to root folder or install? There are 2 fields in Settings> General > WordPress Url and Settings> General > Site Url
Site Url is the only one that was changed when I migrated the site to the root folder following this article:
https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory#Using_a_pre-existing_subdirectory_installAfter successful migration, I foolishly thought why not change WordPress Url too. I now understand that WP redirects to old location. In phpmyadmin > wp_options there is a field for SiteUrl but none that I saw for WordPressUrl. There are 15 pages in this wp_options table and I looked at all of them. See https://tinypic.com/r/262kxh1/8

In reply to: Migrate WordPress from subdirectory to root folder or install? It works perfectly. I was able to migrate the live site to the root directory using the Codex link you provided. I’ll remember the search box.
One problem though: I followed all steps outlined in Codex article but afterwards, I foolishly removed the Settings> General > WordPress Url and now I’m getting a 404 Not Found error whenever I try to access WP admin. Can you help me fix this?

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Getting multiple posts of same articleThe 3 links are feeds on 3 different sites. See https://pastebin.com/HY9BB9mY
I think the duplication is happening randomly but I’ll have to watch them in the next few days to be sure.

In reply to: [WP RSS Multi Importer] Getting multiple posts of same articleYou plugin is one of my top 12 must-have plugins. I favorited your plugin and I appreciate your extremely quick response to my problem. You are a real gem to the WordPress community.
I read the trouble-shooting article above. As stated in the op, I already have the latest version installed and I was able to reduce the double posts with feed to post by changing the Settings to fetch 1 post per 15 minutes and total of 15 posts. Now only 1 article is double-posting (10 copies actually) so I changed the Settings to fetch 1 post per 30 minutes. The 30 mins ensures that the post-meta and post title have enough time to be added to the db. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
