Hi @dmblsn
Thank you for getting in touch.
There are some things to consider when the popup is not showing at the backend.
- The popup has a cookie, and has been closed in the backend.
- The popup is using an Advanced Targeting Condition (ATC) – Is Logged In with a negative condition.
Can you reset the cookie in the backend if it has a popup cookie?
Here’s an example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/mXuDvOXW
If ATC – Is Logged In with a negative condition is available, click the (!) icon beside the targeting page to remove the negative condition. It should change the color of the icon to gray.
If the popup with ATC also has a cookie, try resetting the popup cookie as well.
We hope that helps. Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hi @karim66
The User Menus – User Links follows the WordPress login URL.
Can you try adding a redirection plugin, and use the user links instead? That way, it will automatically redirect to your custom login URL.
You might need a developer to help you create a custom code if using a redirection plugin is not an option.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Hi @michaelimi
Thank you for writing in.
That is the default behavior when the protection setting is using a redirect URL.
Please update the protection settings to Custom Message if you’d like to show a message first, and add a login link in your custom message.
Our developers are also currently working on improvements for Content Control, so there might be things to look forward to in the future updates.
We hope that helps.
Let us know how that goes, or if you have questions.
Hi there,
We rechecked the category page. The popup is now loading.
See: https://share.getcloudapp.com/9ZuKymmm
It looks like there is a caching issue.
Can you try the following?
- Clear all the caches of the site, including your browser cache.
- Retest the category page using a private or incognito window with no browser extensions.

Hi @michelp92
We received your message on our site and replied to it.
The issue might be related to a theme/plugin conflict or server settings, as it cancels the WordPress admin-ajax file to process the post function.
Can you try disabling third-party plugins and/or using a default WordPress theme to see if that isolates the issue?
Lastly, try increasing your server’s PHP limit, and see if that would also help.
Let us know how it goes. Thank you!
Hi @qfurs
Thank you for getting in touch.
We used our debugging tool, but we did not see any popups loading on the product category. It only loads the popup on the product page with a trigger Click Open.
Here’s our test:
- Product Category: https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAuJJOB8
- Product Page: https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGuqq2BK
This looks more like a trigger and targeting misconfiguration.
Can you ensure the following are available in the settings?
- Trigger: Time Delay/Auto Open
- Targeting: Use the ‘OR’ operator to select the product category and page.
Let us know how it goes. Thank you!
Thank you for getting in touch.
The core plugin and videos extension can’t launch another popup when the video ends.
However, you can launch a new popup when the popup closes.

Hi @pajlo
Thank you for joining the thread.
We checked the link, but it looks like the image is no longer available.
Can you send us a message through our support form, and reshare the screen capture so that we can forward the information to our team?
Please see:
https://wppopupmaker.com/support/#submit-a-support-ticketIt would also be helpful if you can share the following:
- Error log from your test site
- WordPress version
- PHP version
- Web server information (Nginx or Apache)
Thank you!
Hi @michelp92
Thank you for getting in touch.
We tried to check the page, but it is asking for the username and password.
Using ‘A Post with Category’ in your content settings will restrict access to the articles that uses the selected category.
It looks like there’s a misconfiguration with your restricted content.
If you’d like to restrict the category page and still access the articles, kindly use Categories: Selected in the content settings.
Should the issue persist, can you share a screen capture of your restriction settings for the content?
Let us know how it goes.
Hi everyone!
We couldn’t see anything in Contact Form 7 v5.7.5 changelogs that could affect Popup Maker.
We’re happy to do more debugging, and hopefully, we can get it narrowed down.

Hi @karim66
Thank you for getting in touch.
We visited your site, and we couldn’t find any errors for the User Menus plugin.
Here’s what we get:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnumDdlnWe made a test on our environment, but we were unable to reproduce the issue.
Here’s our test:
https://share.getcloudapp.com/wbuDQrb0It looks like this is a misconfiguration in the menu settings. Can you share a screen capture of your menu settings?
For example:

Hi @zerenxyz and @reneyoung
I’m going to mark this as resolved, as we haven’t heard from you in a while.
Feel free to create a new thread if you have any other questions.
Thank you!
Thank you for using Content Control.
The content restriction for ‘A post with Category’ is based on the category ID. The sub-category has its own ID as well.
It doesn’t use the ID of the parent category. You’ll need to add the sub-category to get the ID and restrict the content.
Our developers are currently working on improvements for Content Control, so there might be things to look forward to in the future updates.
We hope that helps. Let us know if you have questions.
