It may be a problem with the .htaccess file preventing updating.

I just now updated to 3.3.1 and now have a screen saying I’m in Scheduled Maintenance. This is a self-hosted blog.

Worse, I cannot login at all.

If I have to reinstall, will I lose my data?

Windows Live Writer is hugely popular — it works well, and you might try it yourself — so you might expect this problem to be widespread. The new line should be part of the next upgrade.

I can’t be positive but I think it did work with earlier versions.

You might install and try the plugin: SMTP

This plugin configures WordPress to use a SMTP server when sending emails instead of the default PHP mail() function.
It also creates a settings page where you can enter the SMTP server details and authenticatin credentials if needed

Forgot to change the Settings for writing. Check both boxes, Atom and the other. Now works fine.

I am having the same problem. Did you ever resolve this? I think it has something to do with using non-Wordpress servers.

The code should go into your the top of your templates not the posts. I made the code you give above as the second line.

If you use cut/paste to change the information, be careful there are no extra spaces inserted.

As example, ‘dbo445396373 ‘ is incorrect. The paste added an extra space after the last number.

It should read: ‘dbo445396373’

Happened to me several times before I put on my glasses and checked everything carefully.
