In reply to: [Redirection] Redirection stops working after upgradethanks John, problem is I have been obliged to use another redirection plugin as workaround as this one stops working
don’t know which detail I can provide more; as explained the conf is pretty oob, URL to URL with no regex
if you can explain what you need would be helpful to help you identify what is going onplus one
No more update in the Hits column on Posts or Pages in the dashboard
but seems to be recorded as the Dashboard of the plugin is updatingForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Redirection] Redirection stops working after upgrade@john
all redirection (1270) are not working
they are all simple redirection:
source to target, exact match (URL only) with HTTP code 301@christine I’m using as a temporary workaround (as I’m like you I can’t have the redirection not working) the plugin Redirect List (which is a very simple redirect plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/redirect-list/; even it says not tested on WP 5.1 it is working perfectly fine)

To help here is the configuration – working before and working (aka workaround) after the update
Before update
WordPress/Site Address: main public URL
Additional URL (domain):
*main public URL
*additional public URL 1
*additional public URL 2
*additional public URL 3
…
*admin URLAfter update (workaround)
WordPress/Site Address: admin URL

In reply to: [Multiple Domain] Update to 0.8.4 has broken many dashboard linksjust noticed, the dashboard is now using the main URL – aka the URL define in Settings\General – WordPress Address and Site Address (they are the same so not sure if one it taking over)
If I change these 2 URL to the ‘admin one’, all plugins admin page are now working fine but this is quite annoying as I don’t want to have the admin URL as the WordPress one

In reply to: [Redirection] No IP addresses reportedThanks John
Seems it will not be needed; the IP suddenly went logged again
Interestingly there has been no update on WordPress (the last update was with v 5.2 but the issue still persisted) or plugins, nor on the server
Don’t know or understand what exactly happenedForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Redirection] No IP addresses reportedThanks
how can I send it to you; don’t want to share this publicly, even if I have removed few sensitive information which clearly will not help anyway
This is definitely occurring only for remote address; when trying to get a non existent file/page from the server (or client in the same network) I have the IP displayedForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Redirection] No IP addresses reportedNo, nothing has changed and I can confirm it is well providing the FORWARDED_FOR as I have a security plugin which blocked Google bot because the settings was reverted to REMOTE_ADDR, as soon as I set it back to X_FORWARDED_FOR all went good again

In reply to: [Redirection] No IP addresses reportedThanks John
sorry for late reply
there is no software which alter the IP however this has definitively something to do with the REMOTE_ADDR. This is published through a reverse proxy and this returns the original client IP to a different variable X-Forwarded-For (which is a standard one)
May I suggest you to add a configuration settings to manage which variable REMOTE_ADDR or X-Forwarded-For to use (as many other plugin – especially the security ones)?
ThanksForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Redirection] No IP addresses reportedYes I have it enabled (Full IP logging)
I even turned it off and on again, no luckForum: Plugins
