Resolved in 2.1.1
O.K I got the second feed to show up finally.
I’m not sure what the problem is- But I can explain what happened:I put the new Calender ID into the feed field in GCE and whenever I tried to publish it, the “/public/basic” at the end of the link is cut of.
Finally I wrote it back to the end of the link. I was still cut of again, but then the display on my website worked. After Updating to 2.1 first I did not see any feeds.
After entering the new calendar feed ids from google one of my feeds shows up, but Allday- and Multiday-Events are missing from my list. For the second feed I’m still getting this error:
Some data was retrieved, but could not be parsed successfully. Please ensure your feed settings are correct.
As the original bug of this topic has been resolved I have created a new topic for the new bugs I mentioned here.
This is the bug:
unfortunately all past days do not show the Date in the head.
And a second bug: as you can see today: The Multiday event has already stopped yesterday, but is still showing in the list!
This is the feature I would like to have:
if a Multiday-Event always showed today’s Date in the List, with the Startdate and the Enddate in the discriptrion.
Thanks for the update to 2.7.0.
I have just installed it. The Muliday-events do now show again, when the Startday has passed, but unfortunately all past days do not show the Date in the head.See here: https://www.wpb.moodle-igswhv.de/?page_id=191
it is set to show Multiday-Events on every day in the widget (not the GCE-Widget)
and to show Multiday-Events only on the first day in the page.
A real advantage over the old plugin for me would be, if a Multiday-Event showed today’s Date in the List, with the Startdate and the Enddate in the discriptrion.
I want to bring this up again – maybe a new explanation of the problem helps you find the bug.
This is how it should be:
In the old GCE 0.7.3.1 when I had a Multiday-Event, the Startday was displayed with the duration of the event underneath until the last day of the event had past.
See here: “Samstag 25. Oktober 2014” is still on top.
https://wp.mralbers.de/?page_id=2This is what I get in GCE 2.6.XX :
The first day is no longer displayed and thus the whole Multiday event is lost.:
See here: “Samstag 25. Oktober 2014” is gone.
https://www.igswhv.de/termine/If I set GCE to show Multiday-Events on every day, the list shows only the dates of the event once it has started, without any further information.
Here it is set to show multiday-events only on the first day in GCE 2.0.5.1:
https://www.igswhv.de/termine/And this is what it looks like in the old GCE 0.7.3.1.
That is what it should be!!!

Give me one good reason, why I should not revert my official site to 0.7.3.1!
This site is now on 2.0.5.1 – still the same problem:
https://www.wpb.moodle-igswhv.de/?page_id=191Indeed it is not a caching problem, but the process of retrieving the feed from Google seems to use a lot of server capacity.
When I had set the refreshing to short times I even often got server errors (pages on all sites on my server could not be loaded at all temporarily).
To give you an idea of what it looks like, i give you the links to my
official Site and my test-site. Both are almost identical. At the top of the page you can see the actual embedded Google calendar with all events.
Here you have grouped-list-view with multiday-events on every single day enabled:
https://www.wpb.moodle-igswhv.de/?page_id=191And here it is set to show multiday-events only on the first day:
https://www.igswhv.de/termine/I also felt that my site was slowed down. I set the time for refreshing the cache to a higher number (was 30 changed to 3000) and I think this helped.
But I had these short refresh-times in the old plugin and there they did not seem to cause noticible delays. So probably the caching could be optimized in this new version of the plug in.This seems to be fixed with the latest update to 2.0.5.
Thanks a lot!
