In reply to: wp audio playerOk, so maybe this isn’t resolved because the player just isn’t showing up. All that shows up is the code.
Have checked header & footer. Have made sure I have current flash. Have checked this in IE (latest) Firefox (latest) and Google Chrome (which I use normally). Still only shows up as the [ audio : ] code thing.
I have also checked out the troubleshooting section of the plugin site.
I guess my blog just doesn’t want to play audio. ?? But if anyone can help, I’d really appreciate it.

In reply to: Scheduled Posts – still not working? It’s really weird because it’s only happening once in a while. I’ve tried both those things as well. Maybe it’s just being temperamental to play with my mind. ??
It seems to be working now. If it happens again I’ll just fight with the options some more and get it to work. It would figure I have a blog software that’s just as stubborn as I am at times. haha

In reply to: 2.9 Schedule Posts “missed”Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Those patches seem to have worked – now the rest of my 12 Days of Christmas will post properly!! *dances* You are all lifesavers!

In reply to: 2.9 Schedule Posts “missed”I now have this problem as well – which is so not cool since I have a scheduled for post for every day until December 24th. It’s supposed to publish on a specific date but now it’s not! I’m going to try that plugin (thanks for the info) but I really wish I didn’t have to ADD something else to WP just to make it work like it’s SUPPOSED TO!
I hope the lovely WP developers are busy working on a bug fix that will be released soon? *charming grin*

In reply to: 2.7 installation – Blank screen for upgrade.php and entire siteGot it! My extraction of the files didn’t extract all of them so I was missing stuff in my wp-includes.
I’m back up and operational. Woo!

In reply to: 2.7 installation – Blank screen for upgrade.php and entire siteThanks, but I did all that, actually. I can’t do an automatic update it doesn’t work on my server so I do everything manually and follow those extended instructions to carefully it takes me forever. ??
Guess I’ll just be uploading my backup back to the server and live without 2.7. ??

In reply to: 2.7 installation – Blank screen for upgrade.php and entire siteI had also deactivated all my plugins, BTW. Before anyone asks…

In reply to: New installation, but blank pagesActually I have it in a wordpress folder. So it shows up here:

It was a matter of moving my index.php and editing it. I had forgotten that step. Sorry to clutter these boards. Oops. (Though you linking to that is what reminded me, thanks again!).
Slinking away sheepishly now…

In reply to: Looking for info on running two wordpress blogsPerfect! That’s what I was looking for. I appreciate it, thank you.

In reply to: Looking for info on running two wordpress blogsWhich would be a creation of a new database on my server, right? (I know more or less what I am doing, but I am not good with what everything is actually called. ?? Server? Host?) Just want to make sure I am in the right place.
And, thanks!

In reply to: wp-comments-post.php corrupted??Oh! Moshu! The comments are suddenly working in the default theme (which they weren’t before, strange). And upon further inspection, they are now working on my original theme as well! And my Visual editor has suddenly reappeared!
I guess it was my .htaccess file, though I don’t know why it would suddenly stop working.
Thank you all very much though, I certainly appreciate the help and troubleshooting!! It all works and I am happy! (I don’t quite understand the .htaccess file, so I think I’ll leave things as is, hopefully that will be safe?)

In reply to: wp-comments-post.php corrupted??Well, I know where the file is on my hard drive and have worked on it there, I wasn’t sure how to find it through my FTP client, but I figure it out. I suppose I asked that question prematurely, I apologize.
I’m no genius when it comes to this stuff, I have enough knowledge to get by fairly well without having too many problems, this one however, is way beyond me. ?? So I appreciate the help of those of you who have more than just a clue. ??

In reply to: wp-comments-post.php corrupted??Stupid question – how do you delete a hidden file? I ask this with a sheepish grin. ??
EDIT: never mind, I figured it out. Didn’t make any difference though (the deleting the file and setting permalinks to default).

In reply to: wp-comments-post.php corrupted??Thank you, thank you for the reply! ??
I have already checked with my web host about changes they might have made. Nothing is different on their end, and they kindly checked all my wordpress files for me and didn’t see any problems.
My .htaccess file hasn’t changed. In fact I hadn’t made any new changed since upgrading to 2.3 and everything worked like a charm for the first 3 weeks of my upgrade. I find the sudden “break” surprising which is why I checked with my web host after reinstalling WP just in case a file had corrupted.
My search hasn’t worked for ages and I don’t know why. I just never bothered to fix it. ??
