I had been reading that some Facebook plugins could “clash” a bit when used together. On a whim, I took the Jetpack Share Facebook item and moved to be after the twitter item (so it wasn’t first in the list) and since then there have been no “glitches” on either site. Maybe it was just that the two different Facebook items were next to each other in the code but when the twitter code got stuck between them, they play together just fine now. Or, maybe it was just a weird coincidence. LOL

Sweet! I just changed it and now it works like a charm. Thanks for coming back and posting what you found and helping me out. Much appreciated!!!
Thanks, Veraxus! That did the trick ??

In reply to: [Easel] [Theme: Easel] How to do a transparent header image?I got thinking about it and I remembered that the black appeared not when it was on the site but when it did its uploading and cropping. I was off by a few pixels and didn’t think much of it but then thought maybe the cropping process did not maintain the transparency. I was right. WOOHOO! I uploaded a .png file exactly the size of the custom header size and it didn’t try to crop it and therefore it worked! Making this site for my dad for Christmas. I think he is really going to like it. It is only a simple mod of the background and header image but I think it looks pretty cool.

So, for anybody wanting to maintain a transparent header image just make sure the image is the exact same size as what you have for your header ??
Thanks!!!
Thanks for the reply, r3df! I gave that a shot by creating a custom css file and put only what you have above in that file. I then added that css file using the Theme Options. Nothing seemed to change? I have to head out now but I’ll try to take a look again to see if I might have messed something up but I don’t think I did???
Thanks!!!
AntOni, I don’t think that has anything to do with spam???
I removed it because I have a plugin that posts to Facebook and it was pulling in that text as well. Why, I have no idea but it was. Also, if somebody wants to use HTML code who doesn’t have a clue how to do it then they’ll probably mess it up even with those few instructions. I just wanted my comments to be text too… no need for them to get all fancy with them. Also took it out to make the page a bit cleaner.
Also, I looked at your page and you don’t have it either so we might not be talking about the same thing ??
Gil, I’m a new WordPress user so can’t confirm that it was due to a recent update but it is definitely a problem for more than just you. I’m having this issue and one with a calendar plugin where the buttons aren’t properly displayed and I think it is related to “something” in the CSS for this theme… just wish I knew enough about CSS and coding to fix it! LOL
Some additional information, I’m thinking there must be something odd with the CSS in this theme because I was having problems with the All-In-One Event Calendar and the buttons spread out. It appears to be an issue with this theme?
Any ideas on what I might need to change would be appreciated. Thank you!

In reply to: Do you need different "Facebook Application" for each plugin?FYI to other new users wondering this… evidently the answer is NO. I tried using the same APP ID and secret ID for multiple plugins and I see no problems.
I guess maybe nobody responded because it may have been viewed as such a “dumb” question but I wanted to make sure I put out my findings for other new guys who might find this in a search and were wondering the same thing ??

In reply to: So why doesn't my password reset work or send me an email? For reasons uknown, I think a lot of places see the WordPress emails from this site as spam at the mail server level. I have a popular service (Road Runner) and I tried everything and could not get my password sent to me. A moderator/admin had to manually change my email for the forums to my gmail account. After that, all was good. I suspect you’ll get an email from them and then I suggest you giving them a different email address and see if that works.
Thanks! I just tried 5 other themes and in all the other themes the buttons to scroll through the month are OK but the view buttons are all messed up. LOL So, it does seem like it could be related to the theme.
I haven’t modified the CSS. But it would be nice to know how to modify it to fix it. LOL (I’m not a coder ?? )
Thank you for the reply, edgarcia78. I am using IE9. Does it look ok to you in the link I had above? I’m on a computer right now using IE7 and it looks more messed up than it does with IE9. In IE7 not only are the buttons for the months spread apart but the calendar views are now stacked on top of each other. I just tried an older version of Firefox and it looks just like it does in IE9. Can you tell me if the link looks OK to you in your browser? Thanks!
FYI, I just used the WordPress template for the page which took out all the sidebars and made the calendar full width but it still has the spacing between the buttons so it doesn’t appear to be a width issue.
