This post is almost completely a rant on some host, instead of trying to get WordPress help.

Bluehost already comes with MySQL, as do most all hosts. That must be a false error. Agreed that you should contact Bluehost support.

windbigler17: You might need to change the URL for your www.ads-software.com blog back to the Temporary URL if you have not yet made your domain live with Bluehost. To do that, here are the steps:

Or if you have made your final domain name live with Bluehost already, then you can just use the same steps to put in your domain, instead of the temporary URL.

It sounds like you have either not pointed your domain to Bluehost from WordPress.com or if you did already, that it has not finished going through. When you point name servers to a new company, it takes up to 72 hours to go through and can show the new or old company back and forth during those 72 hours.

If you’re using the auto-install option that Bluehost comes with, then you will want to contact their tech support. This would have nothing to do with WordPress, but only about their installer program.

I know you can contact them by phone, or chat, or email support, but that the emails take longer than the other two.

If you already have it assigned to your account as an Addon, then you only need to edit your WordPress URLs.
Log into WordPress (probably currently https://www.kineticframes.com/violentfemme/wp-admin )
Go under Settings to General Settings and change both URLs on the right to be https://www.theviolentfemme.com instead.
Click Save at the bottom.

Sounds like you two have a server down or high load. You would have to contact Bluehost about that and can’t be helped in a WordPress forum.

This thread is an old one about WordPress version 3.3.2 going slow. Since the version is now 3.5, this version is probably not the one you have and you should start a new thread instead of writing on this old one.

To point the website and email to Bluehost, you’ll want to change the Name Servers. Normally you get those from Bluehost, maybe in your welcome email. I think they’re ns1.bluehost.com and ns2.bluehost.com

After you have pointed the .com name to Bluehost, to make it go live with them, then you will change both WordPress URL’s to https://www.thehornbeams.com

You do not need to change both the dashboard URLs and the phpMyAdmin ones, they are the same. Do it on either one, and the other one is done too.

Is the transfer finished? If you were just transferring the hosting by pointing name servers, they can take 1-72 hours across the Internet. If you are transferring the domain registration, that can take 3-7 days to finish.

Did you get it fixed already? When I visit theladyandthebeard.com it stays on that URL, and when I try theladyandthebeard.com/wp-admin it stays on theladyandthebeard.com when it goes to the prompt asking for the password.

To use your site at the .com name instead of the temporary URL, you need to make sure your .com name is pointed to your hosting company to go live with them.

Since you don’t have access to the Admin Dashboard, if you need to change it back to the Temporary URL, here’s the instructions from a Bluehost video:
