I am having this same issue, but with a custom text and drop down field.
If i make either of those fields required, but do not fill them out before submitting the form, I get this error message:
Warning: strstr() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /(…)/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/includes/core/um-filters-fields.php on line 438
Warning: strstr() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /(…)/wp-content/plugins/ultimate-member/includes/core/um-actions-form.php on line 379
Has anyone been able to figure this out? I need to make these fields required, this only recently started happening.
Hello –
I had the original page mappging, the problem was the “edit” link did not work, so a user could not edit their user page.
I tried switching the User and Account pages like @stoneharding wrote. Now when I go to the “User —- Acccount” page it loads the page in edit mode. But, when I make a change and click “Update Profile”, nothing happens, and there does not seem to be a way to fix.
I also have deactivated all other plugins.
Any ideas? I can’t understand why basic view/edit functionality is not built-in.

never mind – this was a permissions issue on the role. That link works for me now WITHOUT changing the page mapping from the default.
