Hey again, I’ve gotten a response to the topic that I raised in the forum you suggested. I’m afraid the response is a bit above my head, I think he is saying that either this is a SSP issue or an Independent Publisher 2 issue.
Is it clear to you which he means?
Thank you so much. In case anyone else winds up here, I’ve created this:

In reply to: Embedded mailchimp html rendering of drop down boxesHey, so in parallel to seeking help here I raised a mailchimp support request.
Their suggestion was to paste the html into the WordPress text editor, and never switch it back to visual editor mode.
I did that, pasting their code into the text editor, and hitting update, and the issue went away. So long as you don’t look at it in visual editor mode, the mailchimp code works as expected.
Thanks for your help Andrew.

In reply to: Embedded mailchimp html rendering of drop down boxesJan, good call, I always forget about pastebin until its too late.
Andrew, was that the first or second paste that is busted? It is taken directly from Mailchimp, which is not to say it should validate, but it should work.
Any chance you’re hanging out on Freenode? I just joined #wordpress as thildred_wfh.

In reply to: Embedded mailchimp html rendering of drop down boxesThe second paste is what happens after I’ve pasted it into wordpress. It is a bit different.

In reply to: Embedded mailchimp html rendering of drop down boxesSo, above is how it comes out of mailchimp. Below is how it winds up when I create a page, switch to the text editor from the visual editor, and paste it.
