Thanks for the replys. So I called GoDaddy support and he walked me through how to change file permissions through our account on Go Daddys site. Problem is, when I got to that point all the boxes are checked to allow access. So Im thinking that permissions may not be my problem. (sigh) So the support guy tells me I can upload the pictures right into the server through GoDaddy. When I upload the pictures everything looks fine until I go back to WordPress and they are not there. I uploaded the pictures into the “upload” folder is this correct? Is this just futile since Word Press is not going to recognize the pictures until I upload them in the dashboard? I have access to edit everything on the site. I even have access to the GoDaddy account. But I cant upload images?!

Thank you mechx1 for the reply. The person is no longer with the company that started the site so I that would be a last resort to try and have them upload the pics. Go Daddy is hosting this site. Do you think If I call them they can give me file permission. What if I delete the original uploads folder and make a new one. Could this work?

I’m having this problem but when I try to change my file permissions via FTP it said “500 ‘SITE’ command not understood.” I dont think the server is letting me change it. Any thoughts?
