The same issue came up for me while installing the latest version of WordPress on a client’s web server. The only solution that I could come up with was to disable the visual editor mode (user profile panel) and install the WYSIWYG plugin for WP from the following URL: https://mudbomb.com/archives/2005/02/02/wysiwyg-plugin-for-wordpress/

Not the prettiest solution but until the developers at WP get this issue fixed, I’m afraid it might be one of the only solutions.

I’m in agreement with moshu. It seems as though the only solution you may have at this point is to speak with your hosting provider to see if they have backups available. Otherwise, Google may not have had time to cache your website if it is a newer website. If you come up with a solution, please post it for us all, as I’m very interested in the outcome of your situation. Best of luck.

Did you by chance have a RSS feed? If so, you may be able to use your feed reader to retrieve the old posts that you lost. I know Google feed reader kept a hold on my blog posts even after I deleted my blog and its database.
