Gmail will definitely refuse sending e-mails on the behalf of an address it doesn’t know. Maybe you can try to somehow add your alias address into your Gmail account. I remember once being able to do that, being at least able to send mail from within Gmail (free account) using alternate identities. That MIGHT allow sending mails with your alias address using Gmail SMTP.

The issue is apparently not theme-related.

1. Make sure the option “Allow users to re-post activity from activity stream” is checked in Settings menu > BuddyPress > Options tab > Activity Settings section (should be enabled by default). 2. Important: if BuddyPress is network-activated, then you need to network-activate the plugin as well for the option to show up in the network settings and the button to work.

Hi @eejy. I have been using Leven, another Varia child theme, on a self-hosted site without any problems so far.

What do you means by “flags lines in the code”?

Same thing here. And the settings on Writing Settings page (Settings > Writing) are gone. WP 5.4.1. Tested on different sites, different themes, even a blank site: same results.

@wpgetty I just found and tried Human Made’s Mercator plugin, which was specifically made for the purpose of allowing alias domains on multisite individual blogs, and it works beautifully with current version of WordPress (5.4).

It also solves the problem of logging-in on different domain my managing network-wide SSO!

You have to install it manually and setup a wp-content/sunrise.php script to make it work, but by following the instructions anyone should be able to set it up.

You can then easily add domain aliases to any site in the network administration.

@wpgetty Did you have time to experiment with multisite? Any results?

Yeah, looking for that too. A full-screen hero section that adjusts to the device.

Just too bad, I would have liked to try out the free version first. It looks very neat.
