Follow up. It was suggested elsewhere to insert an image near the top, which I did and that didn’t change anything. I then set that image as the featured image and still the same issue. Share the blog post and all it shares is the video.

I added a JetPack style sheet yesterday with the code I found here and it worked on the first two posts but not the 3rd one.

I deleted and redid the jetpack css style sheet and no change do now what?

so it looks like the error was that in code view it was [cscf-contact-form] and when I removed the it corrected... Odd

The gallery settings appear to be general settings and not the settings for each individual gallery on the page. there are 7 different galleries on the page

There is a generic setting in “Gallery Settings” but not for each individual gallery (there are 7 on that page). Somehow I was able to alter each one before.

Thanks for the help on this. The galleries are working out fine with one exception. Since I was never able to get the album titles to show, I stumbled across a way to edit the “[start slideshow]” text. I did half as a test for the client to review. https://idmhomedesign.com/our-portfolio

After some back and forth, it was a go but now I can’t find where to change that button again so I can finish the rest. It appears that part of the “manage galleries” page isn’t working, specifically where is says “Gallery settings (Click here for more settings)” so I’m not sure if it was in there.

SO they got it to work. Here are the replies form my tech support folks. Let me know if I have to go through Plesk to add the other sites.

We have made some progress on this. I was able to use the setup link https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Create_A_Network on a test environment and get the subdomains to load properly. We ran back through the setup and found that you had both a .htaccess and web.config file. This was causing confliction so we moved the .htaccess to the desktop.

We also found that the rewrite rules were not as recommended in the setup. We modified the web.config to match the recommended settings and then the Plesk default page was loading instead of a 404 error. Please note that it is recommended to use the web.config on Windows servers.

We are still troubleshooting this and will update you again when we have more information. If you have any questions please let us know.

3rd and final

I am happy to report that we have resolved the issue. The last step in getting ‘RandysReliableUpdates.PrepAndGo.com’ to resolve was to add a binding for it in IIS:

IIS > Expand Server > Expand Sites > right-click ‘PrepAndGo.com’ > Edit Bindings > Add

You will not be able to use a wildcard binding as this will create a binding conflict. Therefore, you will need to create a binding for each subdomain that you setup.

Once again, this is not the recommended course of action and any sites or subdomains configured outside of Plesk will not be covered under our scope of support. If you have any other questions or concerns please let us know.

Thoughts? Love my tech support folks a lot but also want input from those who know WP inside and out.

If I upgrade to the next level to get the filmstrip gallery, could I load more than one on the same page?

Ok, thanks. Unfortunately the “no breadcrumbs” kind of kills it. Having 7 additional pages isn’t going to work.

The other question is that when I do go to a gallery in the album, there is no navigation to get back the the entire album. What the heck am I screwing up?

Ok, I figured out the albums part but I can’t get them off the left side and when I click on each album nothing shows up even though it says the images are there!

I need have the ability for the site visitor to see individual albums, not just the entire gallery in one shot. If someone is interested in just kitchens, they need to be able to select just the kitchen album in the gallery. Can I do this or do I have to do something different?
