  • I really like your site ??

The design is very neat and clean and I love how you’ve done the menu up the top!

Constructively, the white text in your sidebar is, perhaps, just a little hard to read when it overlaps on the white stars in the background. Also, I think that your category pages are going to be realllllyyyy long when you’ve got a lot of articles up. The technology page is already quite long and I’m not sure that I would scoll through that to read everything you have there. Does your theme support snippets / excerpts? You could use snippets on the category pages that have links to the full article, maybe??

The design of your articles is really clean, very appealing and easy to read. I love the text you’ve used to encouraged people to comment, it’s very friendly and welcoming….. ??

My apologies, I forgot to mention which theme I’m using. Sorry about that. It’s Graphene….

Sorry for any bother, just after I posted and asked for feedback, I updated my theme which consequently messed up a couple of my plugins.

The formatting on my mega menu has gone funky and my YARPP isn’t working at all.

Please close this thread and I’ll repost when it’s all back working correctly.

    Cheers,

    Sharon

    Hey Jeff,

Sorry to comment on a post I had previously closed but just wanted to add an update.

Over the last week or so, I’ve noticed the “Regenerate Thumbnails” no longer worked (for reasons unknown….??). My images in Yarpp were continuing to be completely distorted. So I downloaded and ran Simple Image Sizes.

This has worked perfectly where “Regenerate Thumbnails didin’t. I just wanted to let you know in case you run across anyone else with the same issue.

    Cheers,

    Sharon

    Hey there Ken,

Thank you for you help and lovely to “see” you again, BTW. I feel like such a donkey. It was the slug. Do you know how many hours I’ve spent trying to figure it out?

    Cheers,

I do apologise, I’ve put the incorrect plugin name in the title of this post and am now unable to edit. The correct title should be “jQuery Mega Drop Down Menu Plugin”.

    Awfully sorry about that….

    Hey Jeff,

Sorry it took me so long to reply. I tried your suggestion and it seems to have worked. Thanks very much.

    Hi,

Sorry to be a pain. Since my last post where I mentioned that I’d removed the php as discussed, I’ve also attempted to regenernate the “offending” thumbnails using Regenerate Thumbnails.

This doesn’t seem to have worked either. Wondering if anyone might have suggestions as to anything else I could try.

    Regards,

    Sharon

    Hey Jeff,

thanks for getting back to me, and sorry for my delayed response. I’ve removed

    define('YARPP_GENERATE_THUMBNAILS', true);

from my php but it doesn’t seem to have changed things. New images are stretched, but the old ones are perfect….

Brilliant, thanks Jeff. That’s worked perfectly. ??

    Hi again,

Sorry to be a bother. Wondering if anyone’s found a solution for this. Had a play around with settings and the like for a few hours yesterday but still couldn’t get it to work.

    Cheers

Oh, thank you so much. I’m just starting to learn html so it’s sometimes a little hard to know what to look for.

I’m very grateful for your help.

    Enjoy your day ??
